Oak aged La Trappe Quadrupel, outside their ongoing series. Only available in a specific somewhat low price supermarket chain in the Netherlands. Profits go to projects to help people that can't afford most groceries (let alone a barrel aged La Trappe).

Greetings once again, all! Quick stop at the Boulder Tap House in Cedar Rapids before heading home. This is Peace Out Peaches, a DIPA from Tellurian Brewing, Charles City, IA. Brewed with peaches. The peach flavor is certainly not over-the-top on this, and neither is the alcohol presence. But the umami!!! I live for that, and it is off the chart. Delicious and way too drinkable. Cheers!

My first go at Detroit Style Pizza, which this one place is highly recommended. I’m a Chicago pizza snob, but this is really good. Paired with a beer I’ve been searching for without success (Beyond a March 3rd canning) since I landed here 9 days ago.
