my Devils kicked off their season today at 1p with a game in Prague (I tried to convince the mrs to let us go back but got rejected).

it was smack in the middle of the work day and had to pick up the kids after school, so just some seltzer for me during the game now

One of my locals. I finally got around to reviewing it.

Poured a 473ml can into a pint glass. A pale pink bubbly head on a slightly hazy bright pale red. The head soon disappears. No lacing.

Lacto sour in the nose. A faint cherry smell.

A very mild cherry flavour. Mildly sour with a slightly sweet finish.

A medium light body with good carbonation.

As described, an entry level sour by virtue of it's weak sourness and mild flavour profile. Overall a not too demanding decent summer sour.

look: 3.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

 

Kicking off my weekend at Bull n Bear Brewery drinking Hogie’s Heroes, a new IPA that commemorates a local musician and friend of the brewery who recently passed. Nice balance of tart citrus and strawberry. I generally don’t like Strata hops but they work well here. Cheers to the weekend, BAs!

My 90-year-old mother still partakes in her weekly "Miller's Lite" at her retirement home weekly happy/entertainment hour. Gotta ask if Marie partook in one of my early favorites from 40 years ago. If so, then beer is the path to living to 90!
