Now that I’ve gotten a response about this beer availability over in the US, how about its price? I reckon you’ve had a few each day for near a week… affordable? Cheers.

Great Lakes Canuck Pale Ale from Toronto is nuanced and authentic, old school style with no confusion.

    1) Modist The Time Is Nigh (5.2%): A Festbier from Minnesota aged in oak barrels for flavors of pale Munich malts, some. honey and floral notes with some hints of earthy oak
    versus
    2) Junkyard Oktoberfest (5.2%): A Festbier from Minnesota with flavors of earthy Munich malts, smooth bread malts, light toast. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner: Junkyard Oktoberfest
Minnesota Festbier Battle. First is Modist, an oak-aged festbier. The oak gives it some slight nutty notes. This drinks clean and fairly dry. Interesting and nicely done.
Next is Junkyard. First try at this. Earthy Munich malts and smooth bread malts with a light toasted quality. Balanced and excellent.

Cross post with New Beer Weekend #221 while watching the Detroit Tigers game. Would be ironic if Boyd knocks them out after all his years with Detroit.

Full review linked above. My overall take says it all.
Please DM if anyone has any suggestions for reasonably priced ($25-$70) reliable TV Tuner which also deliver MPEG-4 broadcasts so I can take advantage of free future White Sox and Hawks OTA broadcasts. I would really appreciate a solid suggestion, as per reviews as though many are not very reliable - a good number of reviews state they last a few to several months before dying. My two TVs only pick up MPEG-2, which all other stations here broadcast.

I paid $15.99 for a 4-pack of 16oz. , they ran out of The Alchemist Heady Topper which was $18.49. So, SoS is somewhat reasonable compared to some of the hazy IPAs that are going for way above $20.00 (I just paid $23.99 for Kettlehead Q 4-pack, mainly because I had never had any of their beers), and most importantly, SoS is a better beer than most hazy NEIPAs IMHO.

ps- I am not trying to start a controversy here, just my personal taste.

Trader Joe’s has it for $13.99 near me on Cape Cod, a steal compared to other chain liquor stores.

Don’t think you’ll start any controversy as I’ve barely ever seen people fight about their preference or taste. If anything it’s reasonably priced for a beer apparently top tier. Thanks.

Thanks. That’s also Trader Joe’s not like I’ve ever been inside their stores but they hold the reputation for being kind of cheaper.

    Good afternoon BA's! Happy Saturday!

We made it through Milton and I just had some tree limbs and branches to clean up. Fortunately we only lost power for 7 hours.

These Czech Amber Lagers are really underrated. Here is a new one from Good Word Brewing Bury Me In The Sky 4.4% ABV. It's medium bodied. Bready and toasty with a hint of caramel with spicy/earthy hops. You expect it to be sweet but it is nice and dry. Very much like a Vienna Lager. I've only had three or four in this style and Good Word and Round Trip Brewing here in Georgia make a couple of good ones. Well done!

I did it. 2022 Subaru Outback with 14,500 miles is mine. With all the taxes, title, and two small personal additions (windshield diamond coat and a security package) $36,822. I feel safer already and I'm not even in the feckin' car.
This immediately means I qualify for a Klosterbräu Bamberger Rauchbier. If I were grilling burgers they'd be dubbed Bam Bam Burgers. Great beer. Cheers!

Afternoon, all! I'm drinking Märzen, from Reunion Brewing in Iowa City. Good depth of malty flavor, excellent bitterness, and a spicy hop kick on the finish. This makes an incredible pairing with greasy leftover St. Louis ribs and baked beans (not pictured 'cause they already gone). Prost!
