Eli Fish Brewing with Buffalo Barrel Project BA Won’t It? A double barrel stout aged 12 months in Black Button bourbon and then 4 months in maple bourbon (perhaps local?). These are part of a four-part BA series (Will It? Won’t It? Where Wasn’t It? And Was It Ever?) difficult to get, and delicious as hell. I have a few more of these and just one of the latter two to for a nice vertical / sequence. Aged beautifully, with loads of sweet bourbon, a slight tannic cut, then a pleasant light fresh maple syrup finish on a solid dark malt base, leathery, clean and complex. I’d put this up against any big boy stout. I wish EF would make another round similar or something.

 

Zombie Ice. Drinks like a DIPA danish. A soft, pillowy, lemony, and orangey danish. So enjoyable. Cheers!

Raining pretty good out there, staying in with homemade pizzas. Semantic Satiation, a West Coast Style IPA from Central Waters.

 

Czechvar very reasonably fresh at BB 5/25 @tekstr1der , this one or Uequell is a toss up ,both go fast .

 

The Veil Dreamless. I haven't had much from The Veil, but holy cow this beer is freaking stellar. Awesome Witbier

Never heard about taking it in the mouth(keep it clean guys). Skunk breath for a week,that sucks but pretty dam funny too

 

One in million shot, doc. Apparently he was puking and foaming at the mouth right after. Kids thought he was going to die. It was quite the scene. Cheers!

 

Went one and one today in NCAA football, with both my teams playing close games. Saw the GABF winner thread, and with Port City getting a bronze for their Rauchbier, I figured I'd celebrate with a different smoked beer of theirs.


On to the top 5 matchup, hoping for a home team win... which doesn't help the Ducks in any way, shape, or form. It is nice to not be flipping between three games, at least.

Yeah, tbqh it tasted pretty damn good swilling it on the flight deck with 2000 other sailors & Marines. Looking back at the logistics & drama associated with that day - unlike Brits, Canadians, and most other navies, shipboard alcohol is a no-no in the USN - it all seemed quite silly. Good times
