Rev shared the four draft variants in one of the DW email newsletters:

High ‘n Tired: This single barrel of sweet component Deth's Tar spent twelve months in a tequila barrel that had recently held Templeton Rye whiskey. Whiskey dominates the barrel character, with notes of agave-based spirit flashing about its edges. Wood tannin is noticeably restrained, allowing the sweet base and unique spirit character to softly shine.

Café Bramble: A dash of freshly roasted Dark Matter coffee added to the berry and barrel medley that is Deth by Bramble conjures parallels of berry-topped tiramisu.

Café Mocha Deth: Following the success of April 2024's Supermassive Café Mocha Deth, we thought we'd bring the band back together, this time trading the full stacks and pyrotechnics for acoustics. This "unplugged" rendition trades blinding intensity for nuance and approachability, while still keeping its "big dumb" credentials.

Deth Mound: This Halloween-inspired variant builds off lessons learned making beers like Coconut and Supermassive Café Mocha Deths. Using Coconut Deth as a base, we re-adjuncted it with a double dose of toasted organic coconut, and Mexican cocoa nibs from Dark Matter Coffee. Trick or treat, kiddos!

 

Here's one for all you guys that get to savor GDB (the best Rev beer next to Repo Man) and VSOGDB

 

If Gravedigger Billy replaced Cafe Deth as a yearly release I'd be a happy boy...

 

I may have missed it mentioned, but Beer Temple has the Rev collaboration with Firestone Walker. I picked one up on my way to get my Rev cans tonight.

I'm picking up a bunch of BA beer at Rev tomorrow, but Binny's hooked me in with Oakpocalypse, the Boulevard mix-6pk, BA Speedway and Sucaba. Gonna get a good workout in tomorrow to earn some pours!

 

Do rev care if I am a touch late to pick up one if I order? Only visiting for thanksgiving and can be there by the 23rd..

As if Deep Woods wasn’t impressive enough on it’s own, it seems Rev’s releases are also directly driving sales for other brewers!

 

Any early reports on the variants and pickup? Not going to be able to make until later tonight. Expecting the Mounds Deth to be kicked by then.

 

Everything still on. High & Tired is pretty great. Tequila barrels always scare me but it's quite lovely.

Karma update: instead of 2 each of Deth's Tar, Cafe Deth & Bramble (i have 2 season tickets), I got 3 Cafe Deth & only 1 Deth's Tar.

I'll email Rev about it, but i certainly didn't check & i consider it cosmic payback for all the shit i talk about Cafe Deth.
