Suarez Family Brewery Poet’s Walk barleywine, another one from the Big Beer Box. A nice, contemplative, sipping beer, for a very contemplative evening.

That tree went up around October 10 or so. It will be up until February I am thinking. I agree on the beer. I bought 24 at Costco, so you will see me working. :beers:

I wanted to try this because previously I had compared it to a "Cali/San Diego" style IPA. Is this really a style? Of course not just my personal feelings. When you venture south in Cali the beers seem to get crisper and lighter with floral fruity hops and pilsner malts. My humble opinion. I like them and I think this Lawsons brew is a good representation of those types. It's their take with Talus hops but the base beer is similar. Sorry blah blah.[IMG]

903 Brewers What The Fudge. They know dessert stouts well.

I cut back beer for a day, then did some walking, then got the pu$$y CEO/COO to commit in writing my job is done 12/01/24. Taking a little longer to shake it off than I imagined it would, but it’ll be fine. No sympathy needed, more getting my head on straight. I don’t know what I want my next chapter to be yet. My ex-team moved on and 3 of 4 are so much better off in their new jobs.

Election Night. Go BIG or, well…stay home
Centurion from the BIG BEER BOX
Pretty, hazy golden hue. Solid fluff, two fingers high. Solid retention with sticky lacing.
Nose begins with a pithy pop of grapefruit zest, slightly spicy onion, and a smooth oat malt sweetness.
Flavor starts with orange zest, creamy oats, pineapple, and herbal notes.
Mouthfeel is mildly pillowy with active carbonation.

I'm on my 4th pk of that. At first impression - OK - but it gets better & better with every sip. One of their best, IMHO.

I don’t care how it’s explained away. It’s a thing for me. Just like @beergoot is master of head shape and size, you are master of making 12 oz cans look like teeeny weeeny widdle baby cans in your hand. I’m not a small guy at 6’1” and 265 pounds, but I’ve shaken hands with guys whose hands are like flappin’ baseball gloves to mine. Are you a big, burly electrician type pulling 4 gauge wire through 1” conduit?

    Dont mind me.

What do you think of this. They do a few decent strong dark ales IMHO, but seem to be batshit crazy about adjuncts.
