    Good morning.
This is the beer I had yesterday after my last business meeting, before going home.ù

Dank Brewing (Pesaro, ITA) + Birrificio dei Castelli (Arcevia, ITA) - MANGO FRISKO - Mango Sour Ale (4.5%).
33 cl can (€5, from the "Prato" kiosk fridge).
On the label: "Best before: 11/2025 - Batch: 1122".
Review and rating already added to the database:

    https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/67000/716055/?ba=Jack_14#lists

I confirm the extreme drinkability and moderate lactic acidity (so as not to turn up the noses of new Fruit Sour customers).
All in all, the taste is there, but it remains an artisanal product that winks at some compromises to be as less "characteristic" (and therefore, less edgy and criticizable) as possible.
I like the taste, not the concept with which these types of beer are produced, which try more to meet the taste of the mass, rather than to have their own and true character. And this search for compromise, compromises the quality and the search to elevate their product, "settling" for having created a beer that is easy to drink and quickly consumed.

Good to revisit Hopus, a Belgian IPA since I last had it last January in Brussels.

Cellar pull for me, final from this vintage.

Cellar review treatment linked here. Bottom line, this was only cellared due to over-purchases over time. Buy what you can drink "now" or soon to avoid disappointments.

Good morning BAs! Took yesterday off as a cleanse day. Back from my first walk since before Hurricane Helene hit (6 weeks ago). Drinking KBS:

Bottled 9/10/24. Poured at 50°. I haven’t had this breakfast gem in a skinny minute…smooth and delicious.

It’s time for me to get back into my morning routine of rising with the sun and walking. Cooler temps coming soon which make walking outside doable. Today I walked down to the park to view the damage. Not bad. The broken/fallen trees are in a giant pile in the parking lot. Some of the regulars were walking the circuit. Slowly getting back to normal.

Cheers and enjoy your beers y’all!

Love your random musing as always Tom!

You've a permanent invite to my beach and fire pit.

I'm a cheeseburger plate guy. 3x patties was my jam.

Let's make this happen! It's now been 3 decades + 1yr since my last taste.

My outdoor thermometer reads 88°. There is a strong gusty breeze that feels good (bands from Hurricane Raphael?) so I’ll knock back this tasty brew before I go inside. Cheers y’all!

Good Thursday BA's! Four mile walk/run in the books. I'll second @DoctorZombies, it's warm here today, 84 feels like 92. The pool water temp is back up to 80 so a couple hundred yard swim mid-afternoon. Lag's Beast of Both Worlds IPA for lunch prep.

    Happy Thursday BAs

Pulled this local treat from the cellar - such a great beer, and made only like 5 miles from me!

Finished the Annual Metro Parks Fall Hiking Spree, and got my 2024 shield etc - always an enjoyable activity I look forward to each year! I am closing in on 40 years of doing this spree!

This morning, and sunrise over my lake!

Hello BAs. A cloudy & cool day here. Beers shall flow and Smoked Beers are my ticket today. My condolences to the Leinenkugel Brewery in Chippewa Falls, WI. I have the Neil Young song Unknown Legend on repeat in my head. Really sad news. Plenty of that goin' around. And I can't find cases of SN Celebration in bottles anywhere here. Only 12pks. Totally miffed. I gotta have a damn beer!
Triptych Smoked Fest- Style Lager. A Lager featuring imported German Munich & beechwood smoked malts plus Hallertau Hops, brewed to celebrate the fall. Cheers!!

Took the day off for my birthday which is a tradition of mine. However since Monday is a holiday, I decided to take tomorrow off and next Tuesday and Wednesday as well.

I just went out and chopped up the latest round of leaves with my tractor but I didn't sweep them up yet since there's still more to fall. I just wanted to reduce the bulk to make them easier to sweep up when I finish with the next round. Having this session IPA - Left On Main from a local brewery named 7 Saws. Good stuff and 4.2% ABV
