I agree it’s nowhere near as good as it was pre-Australia fires (I’ve read that didn’t have anything to do with it, but I’m skeptical)…
But Other Half space diamonds latest batch (which is nothing but galaxy) is tasting superb right now.

Could be just a bad can.

but I do long for the days of peak galaxy flavor, cause it was my favorite taste in the world.

I was at the Sandwich location on Sunday around 3pm and it was quite busy upstairs in the taproom. No line to get beer, but all the tables were taken. We watched the end of the Pats game downstairs so had no issue getting a seat.

My 2 cents would be that 7 is probably plenty late to get a table (last call is 7:30 and most of the crowd would be gone), but possibly iffy for pizza. I'd think you'd be ok if you ordered pizza right as you walked in, but I haven't been there that late for food. I'd probably shoot to get there earlier and hope for the best. I'd say the kids could enjoy the beach but then I remembered it'd be pitch dark!!

I've been avoiding Galaxy like the plague. VG 10th Anniversary was just overly bitter. Still have 2 cans left. Maybe it's chilled out by now but I doubt it.

I absolutely agree regarding the VG 10th Anniversary. They definitely missed with that one. I have one can left and I’m not hopeful that it’ll improve.

Autumn and Stick Season have been tasting fantastic to me. All Galaxy as well.

    Yeah well you're wrong, obviously.

Ha! Funny how palates work. I wish mine worked with galaxy again. Green was legit my favorite TH beer for years. Double Galaxy, Congress Street etc...

Agree with the Very Hazy 10th Anni...I've been able to have Treehouse more than ever now that they're in Boston. (Doesn't feel too long ago being excited I only had to drive to Charlton vs Monson)

I remember in monson/fort point days of these breweries Treehouse was known for being soft and Trillium had a bite. I was kinda hoping the 10th anniversary beer was going to be more like what I expected from Treehouse from the old days.

But this Very Hazy might as well be a Trillium beer. Sharp, overly bitter but without any dryness to balance it out. Just tons of juice and bitterness without any relief in sight. Even has some hop burn. I dont notice the Treehouse yeast flavor either. Total bummer.

    King JJJ tastes good though.

Counterpoint: Fidens is the real deal and I’ll say “fuck yes” to one of their ipas with the same enthusiasm that I’ll say “fuck yes” to Tree House.

Stopped by on our way home today to grab this and our coffee. Had to piss so ran in(lucked out getting a parking spot) it was embarrassingly busy to the point where I don’t see how people find that fun. I ran to the upstairs bathroom since it’s never used and I have never seen the upstairs completely wall to wall full, along with people on the stairs and balcony.

But, in reference to 10th anniversay Very Hazy. I’d like to steal a quote from “Scott, of the Better Beer Authority, final episode, 11/14/2014, Dark Lord”…..

“Nate, seriously dude, I thought this shit would be better”

Funny thing is we were at Trillium today as it was a gloriously warm patio day there. The pour of DDH Stillings was absolutely excellent. As well as a half of excellent Nitro Pot and Kettle[IMG]

Just finished a VH10, thought it was good honestly. Not all time TH for me, but very solid.

Believe it or not, the Green-ish I had on draft yesterday was the best beer of the weekend so far. Absolutely perfect classic TH vibes.

Drinking a VH10 right now. It's a good beer. It isn't as good as regular Very Hazy, which is a favorite of mine, but it's still tasty and enjoyable.

Another question. Is all the draft at Woodstock the Woodstock brewer beers. For example the cores on draft, green, very green, haze etc?

Just saw an article posted on another social media site that Tree House is opening a 35,000 Sq ft facility right in downtown Boston. The article listed all their other facilities, including a large one they're building right across from the race track in Saratoga Springs, New York.

It really made me wonder, how close is Tree House to over expansion? I get that they're a sort of unicorn in this market, but surely even they have a limit to multimillion dollar properties they can operate profitably right?

I'm obviously way out of the loop on how popular they are but the article listed 2 breweries in towns I'd never heard of (except I'd heard of Charlton as being where treehouse is) as well as a golf course, an oceanfront facility, and a farm in Connecticut in addition to these two new facilities they're building. Does this all seem sustainable to you all?

Until I get the slightest hint that they're fucking any part of this up, the beer, the pizza, the coffee, the concerts and fireworks, the real estate acquisitions, the distillery, etc, why even question it at this point? The existence of the beautiful, expansive Charlton location alone is hard to believe at times, but there it is.

to be honest, i felt the same sentiment when i first got to the deerfield location. like, how can they afford to maintain this enormous college campus of a brewery? but it seems to be packed every time i go, and i and many other people keep seeming to want to go back, so... let's hope it is sustainable, and that they got real sweet lease deals on all this property!

I would be moderately surprised if they are leasing any of their brewing spaces/locations including the soon-to-open Saratoga location. I have to imagine they are purchasing the land/lots.
