121 seats for the taproom at the Pru seems...awfully light on seats. Like that place is going to get packed. Like the Pru and the surrounding area is nuts on the weekends, even when it's cold out. I say that as someone who watched Arsenal games at a bar across the street for years.

I think Tree House has been methodically with their expansion, even as their new locations have seemed extravagant. I feel like a brewery like Other Half has gone through similar methodical expansion (targeting cities). They seem to be doing alright, though obviously not nearly as successful as TH. Two most fascinating breweries from the expansion stand point to me.

Here in Tewksbury at 6:45 on a Thursday. Rare for me but only day to get our coffee this week. You can’t get a parking spot or a seat if your tried. Completely packed. To our conversation before. No other Brewey can pull that off. Especially 40 minutes outside of a major city. It’s incredible. Timing, excellent game changing products at the right time and continuous improvement. They are an enigma. Also, it’s not even nice out so even less incentive for people to leave the house in the cold.

Can’t say I’m a fan of the Haze or Juice Machine 10th anniversary. I don’t learn my lesson to stick with the OGs!

Ha, that is the most Boston looking crowd.

Being outside of the city might be part of the reason it's so packed. Where else are you going in Tewksbury or the surrounding area?

Same. Two friends with daughters that went to school in Boston. One has graduated, and I’m very concerned about the other one finishing her studies and leaving the area. I have counseled her that she should stay so her dad can keep my supply chain open!

I think it’s more to the fact that most breweries don’t pull all that many people in (in a random town like Tewksbury) on a Thursday evening. Let alone even remotely close to that. They’re what I call “the quiet 9-5 and home” towns. Having worked there for a few years and the ladies best friend and husband living there, I earned the right to judge ha. But also, just kidding around.

The real crime is the fng eggnog latte dropping the day after my coffee run :triumph:

    Ah, gotcha, makes sense.

I'd be curious what the scene is like at Notch in Salem on a Thursday (I could ask my brother) or Trillium in Canton.

That is interesting. I always go on the weekend and it’s never particularly crowded, although there are always people there. I love the lack of lines compared to the old days at Charlton when it was an hour+ to get a beer.

I was there on a rainy Saturday and it was really packed. Plenty of parking available though and I was able to get a table without any issues.

Those are about the only other two I could think of. But I’ve been to trillium on weekdays and I don’t think they could pull the crowd I saw last night. Notch does have its core. But couldn’t actually fill the space the size of Tewksbury on a Thursday like that.

Bit late here. But when do they normally sell Alter and Sap now? Seems like it's never available when I go

Both are always around for July 4, and Sap will likely be around for either Thanksgiving or just after.

I can live vicariously through non-beer snobs when I read the tasting notes of their cold brews. Drinking 'Walden' now, and although I'm enjoying it quite a bit, I'm struggling to find the "notes of apple cider, golden raisin, and brown sugar'

    Tastes like coffee
