    Happy Wednesday! For the Schilling Beer Co. Advocates out there, this is a very recent, fresh collab from Good Word Brewing & Schilling Beer Co. - Faded Fortune Czech style Pale Lager 5% ABV. As you would expect from two respected breweries, an excellent well-crafted representation of the style. It does run along the same lines as Schilling's Alexandr with more earthy, spiciness and a little less citrus note. Crisp and clean. Pairs well with a broad range of foods. Cheers!

    This was another Belgian import I took a chance on. Picked it up this past weekend. Had great potential. Nice aroma but it comes in way too hot. They pushed the envelope too much on the ABV IMHO. Not a pleasant sip.

    Clear, dark brown pour, looks opaque and black in the glass; outstanding nitrogen-induced carbonation; thick, off-white head, long-lasting, dense and creamy texture. Classic Guinness stout aroma; roasted grain sweetness and light chocolate. Phenomenal taste; light milk chocolate flavor; vanilla; low-key bitterness. Heavy body; smooth with a modest residual sugar density; lightly sticky.

    If I were handed one of these beers blind, I'd be hard pressed to figure this to be a non-alcohol Guinness stout. The looks, smell, taste, and feel all like a regular Guinness. I may have to rethink my take on alcohol free beers or, at least, this offering. This isn't like the O'Doul's I had for three months in the Saudi desert.
