Just here to shout it from the rooftops...regular Ryeway To Heaven is absolutely PHENOMENAL this year.

I prefer it to D.B.V.S.O.R., which is very surprising to me. I would disagree with @HawksBeerFan * - I found D.B.V.S.O.R. TOO balanced / refined (to the point of being a bit forgettable), whereas this year's Ryeway punched me in the mouth with smoked bacon, caramel, wood & bourbon heat in a way that was oddly pleasant but very far from boring.

*fear not...I have a trash palate & you're probably right, sir / madam. And we do agree that D.B.V.S.O.R. is not amazing, regardless of how we got there.

Don’t hold me to this, but I think you’ll be okay.

Went to pick up my Deep Wood beers today, and the taproom was the busiest it's been since a pre-covid beer release because of the vintage clothes pop-up. There was a line halfway down Kedzie to get into the taproom.

That’s historically long because Kedzie is a long street.

Same here; but they let me go in to grab my pickups and not wait in the line. That line was insane!

It was easily good; there was a ton left. I'd have bought more than one.

That was for a pop up vintage sale. If you didn't want to shop vintage you could bypass and go into the taproom. I started in that line, then realized I didn't come here for clothes and I should ask some questions.

"Is this the Deep Wood line?" "No, Deep Wool."

But the wool is barrel aged?

Stop trying to barrel age non-beer. This isn't the 3 Floyds thread.

The economy is worse than I thought. Long lines for people to buy old, used clothes?

I agree, thinking about trying to acquire another 4 pack. I'm a fan of Rev fruited stouts, and this one is way up there. Very fruity, kinda sweet, but on point if bramble is your jam.
