Found this in the basement, pretty old and not a lot of carbonation but it's tasty.
@BeerVikingSailor sounds like it's pretty balmy there, woke up this morning to an actual temp of minus 8, it's warmed up to 2 above. Cheers.

Received this spicy beer from @Ozzylizard and needed a beer for a meeting at work with a really tough to like coworker.
The habaneros are potent in this one.
    Cheers!

    1) Surly Hell Lager (5.0%): A German lager from Minnesota that has flavors of lemonflower with a dry yeasty and pale malt finish.
    versus
    2) Arbeiter Helles (5.4%): A Helles Lager from Minnesota with flavors of smooth pale malts, honey, and lemonflower. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Surly vs Arbeiter Battle.
First is Surly Hell. One of the best German lagers. Drinks like a kellerbier. Yeasty, full, soft, with strong lemonflower hop flavors. Outstanding and one of my favorites.
Next is Arbeiter. They make the best German Pils, but this is their Helles. Smooth honey, pale malts, and lemonflower. Very flavorful and nice as well. Leans a bit hoppy for a helles. Excellent.
    Winner: Surly Hell.

Celebration is peaking right now. It might not ever look/taste better than this. Sort of like Sydney Sweeney. Pause. Be thankful for what's in your glass, everyone. Peace...

    1) Hop Butcher Your Wish is Hazy (8.0% canned 8/27/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Simcoe, Nelson, & Moteuka for flavors of orange, blueberry, tropical melon, strawberry, cotton candy, lime and mango
    versus
    2) Hop Butcher Cosmic Glow (8.0% canned 11/5/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Rakau, Waimea and Mosaic for flavors of orange citrus, pine, dank and tropical melon and berries. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

A chilly Thursday with a high of 7 degrees. Settling in for a great Hop Butcher IPA Battle. First is Your Wish Is Hazy. Nice Moteuka here. This has some strawberries and cream flavors. Very nice.
Next is Cosmic Glow. Rakau and Waimea. Gives it some pine and dank melon/berry notes. It's clean, yet complex.
I think Cosmic Glow is more balanced, but also probably some freshness bias here. Slight edge, both are excellent.
Hop Butcher always pushing the boundaries with the complexity of hop flavors.
    Winner Cosmic Glow

    G'day all!

This is an excellent sample of a sour IPA using peaches.

    Prost!
