I got my hands on a 4-pack of LT Triple Bag while up in Rutland.
I also have 2 bottles of DF 120 in my fridge.
Since both of these beers are high ABV, and have an incredibly complex flavor - which I consider somewhat similar - I'm curious to know if anyone has ever mixed these two great brews.

I can try a small amount of mix, but of course, once both bottles are opened, I will have to drink both - no one to share with. Too bad for the other person missing out

Have you tried both on their own? What do you expect to gain from combining them?

I’m not sure I would combine them.
Both are very good on their own. I think combining them would in a weird mess.
The last time I got my hands on DF 120 I had to visit the brewery and I never see triple bag though I live in Vermont.

OK. Sounds good. I was just curious, because while staying at the Inn at Long Trail in Killington VT, I had several "Vermont Half' which are 1/2 Long Trail Ale, and 1/2 Guinness Draught (on the top). The Guinness has such a smooth head due to its nitro rather than CO2. Much less 'potent' than the DF 90 or 120, or the LT Triple Bag, but really good.

I found the 4-pack of Triple Bag at Terrill st Discount Beverage in Rutland.

    Don’t hesitate. No rules.
Do it and tell us what you think,,.
(120 & World Wide Stout is excellent, btw.,)

I'll try it on New Year's Eve.
I'll start with a 'short' pour of each into my stein. If I like, then I'll pour the full 12oz of each.
Those two brews are going to get me drunk pretty quickly, but I'm staying home this year, so not a problem.

I dunno, you went through so much trouble to get the 120, not sure I'd risk it.

This is when we tell OP DFH will be releasing 'fresh' 120 in 2025. Go crazy!

I recommend writing a review for each of the originals. I find reviewing beers forces me to pay attention to what exactly I like and don’t like about an individual beer, and to find ways to describe what I’m experiencing.

You could do that side-by-side with half or 2/3 of a bottle each, and then cuvée the remains and describe what that’s like.

Pro tip: 50/50 blends aren’t always the best ratio. Taste the stuff individually and make an educated guess about what balance you’d prefer.
