Cool! I'm heading up there in January to hang with my son. I'll be on the lookout.

 

I'd find a way to get those into a fridge for sure. Never seen it here. I'd like to come across that Vienna I sent you. Man that was something. Felt very spoiled when those were available.

 

No lie on the Vienna. That was a rare treat. Few people here in the U.S. get to see that's how a good one is supposed to be. I have never seen it in Atlanta and we tend to get beers like that eventually. If I ever see that one, I may blow my whole paycheck.

What bugs me is the idea of hunting as population control. That's complete nonsense, available resources manage population in the wild. I'm not a hypocrite tho, I have eaten venison. I just can't pull the trigger on them, and if I never had venison again that'd be fine

Better to hunt them than have them die from car strike or disease ( that also passes to humans ) . No natural predators to keep them in check in the majority of the country. Wolves & Cougars don't thrive in the suburbs, Deer sure do.

 

Same here. When I was young I learned how to shoot alot of guns because I had a job working with my neighbor training Labradors for hunting. I would also go to numerous field trials and would shoot there as well. Havent been into hunting since then. I will eat farm raised deer, elk, bison etc. If you've ever seen a hanging deer carcass it's pretty damn ugly with the number of ticks that come down to the head because that stays warm the longest.
