I just got my Nov. 19 order on Friday/Saturday (2 boxes arrived separately) and I think they shipped last Monday. So I think they were catching up on a whole bunch from last month and are also starting on December.

I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I was excited for this one, it's just as described, and yet I'm kinda not into it.

The spicing is very bold. But critically it's not a mess. It's balanced and purposeful. The base BT is smooth, rich, and mellow. It's not overly sweet. It's a well executed extreme beer.

I am tempted to stash a couple to see what time does... though with a flavor this intense it would have been very well served by the 375ml format.

I enjoyed it, but it's not really a standout, and definitely doesn't warrant the price tag.

Based on color alone, if there's any stout in this. it's a rounding error. I also don't get any flavors I associate with stout, furthering my believe that "golden stout" is about as real as Santa.

The vibe I get is cream ale. I'd actually call this an imperial Or Xata. Really nice buttery texture, very smooth, vanilla is tasty and adds nice sweetness (other spices not noticeable to me). So again, it's a very enjoyable beverage, there's nothing bad, it's just kinda middle of the road on the Bruery spectrum.

The same conundrum I recall from before. It's so weird... And yet I keep going back for another sip.

The pepper is pretty great. It's not hot exactly, but a low level numbing warmth that comes on at the finish and lingers a bit but not too long.

Heavenly Blis, honestly one of the better Bruery beers I've had this year. Really close to One & Dunn GR. Crack it open while fresh to experience those bright upfront maple notes.
