Actually my daughter is trying to carry on the tradition of the polish Christmas Eve dinner (wigilia). Requires 12 dishes (seafood allowed but no meat). Anyway, I tried to help.

 

A couple of iconic beers this damp, chilly evening in Northern Indiana, this first beer shows up unexpectedly from time to time and I try to grab it when possible. MBC crushes this style, IMHO. Absolutely love it.

 

Made from boiling down the bones of several past meals of bone in standing rib roast . We add tomatoes .tomato soup, barley, bay leaves , beef bouilion, and onions . A simple tasty soup from the leftover bones and meat . Keeps well in the freezer in packaged servings to pull out.

 

La Cumbre Elevated IPA (Hallertauer Herkules, CTZ, Centennial, Chinook, Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra, Nelson Sauvin). Been too long since I've had this gem of an old school IPA. Sticky, resinous pine, sugar-dusted grapefruit, orange marmalade, orange and grapefruit peel, floral, and herbaceous dankness. Can taste every bit of the 100 IBU's on the finish. This would always be in my fridge if I had regular access to this!

#2, I look forward to this beer and all the variants every year, and this year is no exception. The OG base this year features flavors of fudge, vanilla and caramelized sugar, plus a bit of dark cherries, oak, and booze, courtesy of the barrel. World class stuff, IMHO.

 

Nice framing of the moon and the sunset between the trees . Bonus for the clouds

 

I really do like MBC brews. Lunch is one them.

100% agree. Traded for Elevated long ago, would love to have everyday access to that beauty!
