Treehouse - Alter Ego - Excellent Hazy IPA to open up the Christmas Festivities - Cheers!!

 

Merry Christmas to the BA community. Thanks to @dcotom for starting the thread, as is tradition for as long as I can remember. I made a drive up to Ohio for the holiday week after putting the 3 cats up into condos. Finished Rose Madder By Stephen King with outstanding dual narrated horror story. 4.25/5 We started Be Useful by Arnold Schwarzenegger which is a great motivational book I could use right now.

We had a great lunch at City BBQ yesterday. Bama pulled chicken was amazing, but I got a wishbone in my sandwich lol. Also found the best queso I've seen yet. A lot of places have watery queso, but this is thick. I also had a bacon chicken sandwich called the dirty bird. So after all that I had some mega Slim Jims and 2 20oz red bulls for the drive and audiobooks.


Starting off with the classic favorite Tripel. I love their yeast. I was surprised to find out my dad did not plug in any sound and light ornaments this year, so when I plugged it in was complete silence.

Another cool day here on the NW PA tundra - my son and (hopefully) future daughter-in-law will be joining us later for an early celebration. Tomorrow they're off to her relatives - she's got more relatives than a lottery winner - they already started celebrating a couple of days ago.

The only macro beers that are halfway drinkable are the darker ones, so let's do this Bohemia. Its better than the non-dark ones but I'm outright suffering here people.


I have a soft spot for rodents so when this agouti made an appearance I had to go and say hi. Had a chat, and then he effed off to eat something under a bush.

 

A little snow to start this Christmas Eve. This one canned on 12/16/24 is really tasty. Cheers and Merry Christmas all.

ISIL cross-post. This is an outstanding beer. The vanilla flavor is just right. @Blogjackets, I am glad I was able to go right to bed after the Green Bay Packers game last night, since I did not go to the game, rather than go to the game, and get home at 1am on the bus I take home from Lambeau Field. Or pay $100 for a $20 Uber ride, with surge pricing. Today I am going to drink beer, watch Christmas movies, and set up my bed on my roof, so I can be ready to drink aquavit with Santa Claus's reindeer, when they arrive tonight.

 

One more in here before moving on. Give for a Landlord, not a fan of the new glass though.

Rainy Christmas Eve here, that actually is preferable to shorts weather for me. Nice to wake up without an alarm on a Tuesday morning. Hot tub time!

Thank you for the wonderful open and Christmas tradition @dcotom . I'll be with you in good Christmas spirit through Orthodox Christmas on January 7th. Cherries are a flavor I associate with the season, so pulled this new to me selection.
