It's only Jan. 10th and I'm already craving some warm sunny days, some aromatic steaks grilling, and cold beer to go with.

That's Zinc...our Labrador Retriever photo bombing. We brought him home in January 2014 when he was 8 weeks old. I don't think he actually saw grass in our yard for the first 2 months he lived with us...was a snowy winter that year. To this day, one of his favorite things is running around in the snow.

Pro tip: Don't try to potty train a puppy in January in Ohio...it sucks.

I'll take a couple of weeks of mild winter around here. I do mean mild, ha. Otherwise it is pave melting hot out. My parents complain about the 3 weeks or so of summer they get up north, and I'm like yeah, that is me almost year round. So, I can enjoy the 3 weeks or so of temperatures in the 40's ha. I have lived in places where I'm still dealing with snow in June, and yeah that ain't ever happening again

 

Florida is less than 6 hours drive south of me. The temptation to pack up and head south is stong about now. I'm a sunny warm weather guy.
