What New England beer are you drinking now? (2025)

Shirley Mae Porter in Greensboro today. Always love when this is available in the taproom - served on nitro - this beer is creamy and has a ton of choco/coffee flavor for the 4% abv.

 

Just had it on nitro at Brewer's Fork in Charlestown this past Sunday.

 

Enjoyed this fine pale ale this evening!

 

Honest Weight's "Prescott" remains my favorite pilsner in Western MA.

 

I’ve heard so many good things from them, on my list.

 

Absolute perfection!

 

Easily my favorite Western MA brewery. Their “multigrain” stout is also a gem.

 

Better than Tree House Deerfield?

 

Treehouse Deerfield is a retail location that sells eastern MA brewed beer to people who don't know better, with a side effect of putting truly local breweries out of business.

Sorry, I'm salty. That place has really harmed our beer scene in this part of the state.

No worries, I asked genuinely since people love Tree House. I wasn’t suggesting Tree House is markedly better, was just curious.

Absolutely, but Southwick is WAY far away from Southwick's zoo. Southwick's the little dangly bit that goes down into Connecticut out by Springfield. Southwick's zoo is in Mendon.
