I thought about a road trip this year, but we’ll be in Germany beginning of April. Last visit for Younger release was 2014. Have fun.

They scrape the hop caviar and the stages take exactly 4 hours, 20 minutes and 69 seconds.

You can't tell just by tasting it??

Had it in the Bay Area Sunday.
I thought this batch was very good. Still prefer Elder though, when super fresh.

[IMG] [IMG] My go to spot each year, Pizza Port SC. Hardly any line and a bunch of RR beers. This years PtY is top notch. Seems lighter and more aromatic than past years.

waited maybe 2 minutes for two pours. Also had a blind pig and happy hops.

    baby palate….:I joke of course.

all the stone you drink and you think PtY is harsh? I can see where you’re coming from on the syrupy notes. I found this year to be pretty mild on the syrupyness but that just me.

i never have TIPAs at Stone, or any other places for that matter,l so maybe that's a thing , but after half the glass i didn't want anymore . It got all syrupy and the harshness was more of a "funky grassy" thing or someshit. I'm no IPA expert but it's rare that i won't want to finish one.
I went and grabbed some Winter Cabin to wash off the "syrupyness" of the Younger.
It isn't a terrible beer but a pint is way too much for my taste preferance
Drinkability is very important to me when trying beer and this one gets 3/5 .

And again....i don't really care for IPA so i don't upload the rating here to fuck with the inflated score it already has:stuck_out_tongue:

San Clemente had a new beer on tap “hanks danks” 6.8% mosaic “pale ale” that was fire. One of my favorites that I had today. I am not the biggest winter cabin fan. As PP seasonal’s go it’s mid tier.

A pint is a lot of any TIPA. But pliny is definitely lean for a TIPA. It's a great beer to have a couple 10 oz pours of once a year.

The only changes I heard about this year was the addition of some hop called Tangier. Supposed to taste like oranges or something

Ask them for a splash of whatever simple syrups they have for cocktails. I'm sure some citrus or jasmine simple syrup would really make a pop!

I actually thought the 2025 PtY is the driest of all I've tried (I think I missed one year out of the last 6-7). Still quite balanced and definitely not tasting like 10+%, which is the thing about PtY. But this year is restrained on the explosive citrus my favorite batches have.
