Welcome to another year of discussing all of the beer options throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Our discussions in this thread cover people visiting for vacation or work, and also for Las Vegas Locals.

While I live in Chicago @ChicagoJ on BA, I spend 2-5 weeks each year in Las Vegas, and love to hit various craft beer breweries, bars and stores each visit. I am breaking this kickoff post into two sections:
    • Tourist Section: For many visitors with limited time and or ability to travel throughout the valley.
    • Las Vegas Valley: For locals, or visitors with extended time to explore the Las Vegas Valley.
We will note openings, closures, and other places worth adding for our 2025 thread.

    Viva Las Vegas!!!

    Tourist Section

Note *: Denotes Strip Locations serving largely AAL/Macros, but with enough good local/regional/national craft beer to keep you interested if you can't leave The Strip.
    • Center Strip (Casino Royale/Mirage to PHo/Aria)
    Las Vegas Valley

Speedee Mart (Click link for the dozen craft beer specific locations)

    Breweries & Taprooms
    (Grouped by location)

While I wanted a complete listing for the opening post. These are my eleven locations I hit the most during my Vegas visits, places I recommend based on repeat visits over the years.

    Tourist Sections:
    1. The Silver Stamp (Beer Bar)
    2. Hop Nuts (Brewery)
    3. CraftHaus (Brewery)
    4. Hard Hat Lounge (Dive Bar & Smash burgers)
    5. Pizza Rock (Pizza & Craft Beers)
    6. Able Baker (Brewery & Restaurant)
    7. Ellis Island Front House (Brewery & Restaurant)
    Las Vegas Valley:
    1. Aces & Ales Tenaya (Beer Bar & Restaurant)
    2. Khoury's (Packie - On and Off Premise)
    3. North 5th Brewing (Brewery)
    4. Chicago Brewing Company (Brewery & Restaurant)
Places I haven't been to yet, but recommended / highly recommended by others, so may appear in the above lists down the road. (Not counting the Center / South places which I likely will never visit)

Personally, I'd put the Silver Stamp on my list of best beer bars in the whole damn county. It's that good, and that unique at the same time. Midwestern dive bar meets Falling Rock in the most nondescript building for miles. Plus, it's only a block off the whole brewery row area. It's a must-visit for me now. Even if you're on the far end of the strip, it's worth the $15 Uber/Lyft.

    I agree 100%.

    My top picks for tourists:

    • Can’t travel beyond the Strip
      • Ellis Island Front Yard
      • Pub 365
    • Have one chance to leave the Strip for a few stops - Arts District
      • The Silver Stamp
      • Able Baker
      • Hop Nuts
      • CraftHaus
    • Have multiple days and transportation (Above spots +)
      • Aces & Ales - Tenaya
      • Khoury’s (Henderson)
      • Beer Zombies / Tenaya Creek (NW of Fremont Street)
      • If you like Dive Bars
        • The Red Dwarf (Eastside)
        • Hard Hat Lounge (Arts D)

In terms of my favorite beer bars in the US.

    My Fab Five:
    (Alpha order)
    Churchkey (Washington D. C.)
    Hopleaf (Chicago)
    Monk’s (Philadelphia)
The Beer Temple (Chicago + bottle shop)
    The Silver Stamp (Las Vegas)

    Three on my bucket list:
    Armsby Abbey (Worcester, Massachusetts)
    Brick Store Pub (Decatur, Georgia)
    Toronado Pub (San Francisco, California)

Unlike those other bars, I can’t seem to find Silver Stamp’s tap list online (other than Yelp, which ain’t exactly up to date). Do they publish it somewhere?

(I can attest Monks, Churchkey and Toranado are indeed fantastic. Another to check out is Novare Res in Portland, Maine.)

    Thanks for the suggestions! :beers:

They don't keep an online account on their website or Untappd. If you have an Instagram account (I don't, but my Vegas brother does), in addition to their public facing posts they also have instagram log in access link / posts which provide additional details regarding upcoming events.

Your best bet beyond just showing up and knowing good beer will be there is to check the check-ins on Untappd for at recent beers posted. They have 20 draft lines and a good sized bottle and can list across many styles. Their draft list always has one tap for a regional cheaper AAL (and I believe a newer permanent Guinness line) so non craft beer people may be comfortable, plus a permanent Reissdorf Kolsch Tap. Beyond special events sunch as Zwanze Day, they typically always have 1-2 WCIPAs, 1-2 NEIPAs, 1-2 Wild Ales or Sours (not kettle), and then a bunch more.

The only things I don't order there are their hardboiled eggs (don't like eggs) or hot dogs (picky Chicagoan, tried once, did not like the one I had when I was "starving").

Thanks again. Here’s a random question for you and others: any advice on a good lunch spot on the drive between Vegas and South Rim Grand Canyon? Beer-related or otherwise. :beers:

If you end up at the Silver Stamp, there's a really good BBQ place (SoulBelly) a few blocks away. I don't just mean passable/okay, either. We're talking serious BBQ nerds love the place and the dude who runs it has a pile of culinary awards.

There's also a famous Southwestern/Mexican place people rave about called Letty's just down the road, too.

Both of those assume you want to eat right there in LV, though.

We will be visiting Las Vegas this Sunday thru Wednesday. Is there any Pliny The Younger tapping events going on in Vegas? I know you guys got RRBC in last year around this time. From what I was told there was no Younger tapping in Vegas then. But maybe this year, 2025?

@ChicagoJ, what happened to Beer Zombie on Dean Martin? Did they move to the Downtown location?

Been twice. May end up back there on this next trip coming up. But I thought Able Bakers food menu is pretty good as well. The burger is huge and good. If you do end up at SoulBelly it can get extremely loud inside when there is a band playing live. Yes, the bbq is good.

Looks like Eureka! Las Vegas inside El Cortez has Blind Pig on tap right now. I doubt it’ll be still on this Sunday. Maybe it’ll be swapped out with Elder or Younger when it taps out? Nice to know there’s a Eureka! in the downtown area. Not my place to grab a beer, but good for a Blind Pig or something good as we’re staying in the downtown area this trip.

Khourys and Silver Stamp just tapped their kegs and they were gone within 2 hours each. Heard a rumor about Aces & Ales possibly having some this coming weekend. Beer Zombies is also known for carrying Russian River, maybe they will have some as well? Not sure how much came into the city... Good luck

Thx. No big deal if I don’t get any. One of my local breweries down the street from me will be tapping it on Tuesday. We won’t be back until Wednesday. I’ll be looking for any new local brews in Vegas. Younger, Elder or Pig are all bonus while in Vegas.

Not that’s any of my business, but your profile says that you’re in California. I assume that’s no longer the case, right?

Oh, I just assumed that you didn’t have nearby access to Russian River brews.
    Have a great trip!

I do have access to RRBC brews. One of my local breweries is tapping Younger on Tuesday when we’re in Vegas. My other location will tap it soon, but we still may be in Vegas when they do. Just thought it would be nice to have a Younger, elder or Pig while in Vegas. Just a few years ago Vegas didn’t have all these great beers as I would have to bring my own supply in.
