Can confirm that Columbus is definitely sold out. He said try midtown east at 57 and 2nd but made no gaurantees they would have any. Good luck guys

 

I bought one there about 20 mins ago. Didn't see anyone else buying one. Seemed like i was the first to buy. Also, FBS on sale for 9.99 a 4pack just outside the 'bar'.

They are def out at CC... the said they are holding some for people in the back, if they don't come by to pick em up, they will sell them tonight.

 

any try growler station? They get a lot of the limited releases.

 

Growler station charged 13.99 for a 12 oz of regular bcbs when they released it. They also post on fb if they have something they'd like to gouge your pockets for.

 

Looks like Growler Station is going to release the Cherry bottles sometime on the 9th or 10th, as well as having BCBCS on draft. This is straight from their twitter feed..

I spoke with the guy at WF CC earlier this morning. He told me every WF store is supposed to get one case in. He told me my best bet was to check the Midtown East location (57th and 2nd) as the beer department there is less trafficked. I haven't gone, but if someone wants to call them (or Tribeca), good luck. Also, can't stress enough that New Beer are getting them in today, and if you ask nicely, will sometimes hold a bottle for you if you can't make it in immediately.

Oh and Top Hops is getting some in too. Good luck everyone! I'm hoping to get a 2nd bottle after work but doubt it after hearing how fast it sold out at WF CC.

FYI, WF Tribeca wasn't very helpful. The person i spoke with said "it's not available", to which i responded, "does that mean that you haven't received any?" and her response was "ummm yeah".

No idea what's going on there. Either they're being shady about it, it sold out and she has no idea, or they haven't received any...

Note: The guy that is normally in charge of the beer wasn't there, so i could have just been speaking to someone who wasn't familiar with Cherry Rye..

I called WF Columbus Circle at 11:30am to see if it was in yet, and they said it was but they couldn't sell it yet because they had a problem getting the barcode in the system, so they'd take my name for a bottle to come pick up later. So it wasn't like they were setting it aside for super-customers or whatever. When I went in they had to walk me to the front register with a bottle of BlackOps to scan, so they hadn't figured it out still, but I was able to walk out with my bottle! now to just decide to drink it or age it.
