I believe this to be the last Celebration in my fridge. I can still buy 12 packs of the stuff, but I will wait for next year - although it still tastes pretty good. It doesn't go downhill quickly like Jai Alai for example.

Exactly - here's my driveway from the last storm. I put in trench drain in front of the doors but it's fruitless. The sand and gravel washes down and clogs it.

Nah - I've already been out and about, the roads are just wet at this point although there are some massive puddles. The sanders/salters have been out this evening treating the roads so they should be fine for driving. Still, one has to execute caution as there can be what's called black ice - areas where the water as frozen into ice but you can't really see it.

Black ice is a thin, clear layer of ice that forms on surfaces like roads, sidewalks, and driveways. It's a potentially deadly driving hazard because it's hard to see and can cause you to lose traction

We're used to this stuff in New England, a quarter inch doesn't faze us in the least. Cheers!!!!

Looks great, you had me at grilled veggies

 

Nah, I figured, just havin' fun. You know, like the old days. In any case, never told you my story of smoking a brisket with one of my first profs in grad school (LSU); 3 hours in, Hurricane Andrew swept in, we chained the smoker to a large tree. I mean a proper giant, live oak.
Next 5-6 hours are a blur. Tree falls.
Next day: We walk out, smoker is standing chained to a tree stump, as the rest of the live oak lies snapped in the back yard. Brisket intact. August miracle. 1992. And it was a damn fine brisket, too.

Then we spent the next 3-4 days cutting, sawing, and chainsawing that damn live oak of course, but at that point, I'd do anything for some free rent.

 

I'm jealous. I just told the Mrs I haven't grilled since November- first for me. You certainly are the grillmaster!

Mortalis is great . We get drops quite often, Hazy’s fantastic. Stouts even better . Oh and you’re right on about the women.
