Thanks! I think it’s okay-ish but his eyes and glaze are a bit off… I always manage to find something wrong with what I do, my own worst critic.

Just the one for me today!

Gone for a dark mild by 3 Locks Brewing Co. Picked this up when I visited the brewery recently.

Brown bread aroma off this puppy. Lightly metallic...Schell's Dark Lager. Their basic lineup of beers are winners IMO. Even Deer Brand :beers:

That's a brew I think I'd like and the double as well. I'll be watching for it.:beers:

@LesDewitt4beer Great beer to kick off WBAYDN!

    1) Modist Supra Black (5.0%): A Japanese Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark grains, yeast, Saki, and roast.
    versus
    2) Half Acre Ridge Tree (4.5%): A Czech Dark Lager from Chicago with flavors of dark malt, cocoa, light roast. Clean. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Dark Lager Battle. First is Modist Supra Black, a Japanese dark lager. Dark malts, some light rice and saki notes. Smooth. Very nice and interesting style.
Next is Half Acre Ridge Tree, a Czech dark lager. Simillar, but a little more cocoa and roast. Cleaner.
Slightly prefer the Czech Dark style, but the Japanese dark lager is a new style to me and could grow on me.
    Winner: Half Acre Ridge Tree

It's back for the time being, but as you know - nothing is forever :sunglasses::beers:

At least the ridiculous wind seems to have finally calmed down today and for the first time in a long time we are slightly above freezing. Hopefully the weather continues to improve over the next couple of weeks. Cheers my friend!!

Amen to that! I’m sick and tired (literally) of this winter though nowhere as bad as a New England one, onwards to spring por favor! cheers.

Good to hear you got power back! We lost power on Sunday for 3 hours, but thankfully it came on just before night. Right now it’s 21 degrees here so it is cold!

Yeah, we lost it for a little over 3 hours as well. Right now it's hovering at 32 degrees - it made it up to 33 degrees earlier - but at least there was some melting going on today and I was able to clear any remaining ice from the end of my driveway. Supposed to be a storm headed our way this weekend, but I believe it's going to be more to the south of us and miss us for the most part. I sure hope so!!! Cheers and stay warm. :beers::beers::beers:

I should just bitch slap myself for ever uttering the words "I wish it would cool down" in the summer. :sunglasses:

Finally done working for the day and enjoying a Wormtown Irish Red Ale. This year's batch is pretty tasty .. now I just need some delicious corned beef to go with it!
