    RAR Out Of Order The Mystic Portal Smoothie Sour, 5% ABV. Pours thick and opaque mint green with a slight light-green head that left puree residue. Aroma is cream, vanilla, pineapple, and citrus. Taste follows, ice-creamy, citrus and pineapple, quite sweet, slightly tart. Real creamy mouthfeel, overall excellent yo outstanding adjacent. Open all RAR smoothie sours over the sink. Gushed slightly.

    look: 4.25 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.75 | overall: 4.5

    Clear and golden body; sparse carbonation; thick and frothy white head; spongy and stick. Outstanding nose comprising soft pine and floral notes. The taste exudes a very delicate biscuit-like malt base and carries a wonderful very light tropical fruit quality and massaged with a fine over-arching hop bitterness. Medium to medium-heavy mouthfeel; full and soft on the palate with a delightful wispy dryness on the finish.

    The original BA notes mentioned that this beer was originally Pliny for President slightly tweaked when it appeared in 2021. From what I recall of the bottles of Pliny for President I've had the pleasure of enjoying, this beer is a near dead-ringer for the beer. Personally, I prefer this variant of Pliny of the regular version. But, you know, there really isn't such a thing as a bad bottle (or can). This version is killer!

    ...I'm ecstatic to hear that current Sun Ra Arkestra leader Marshall Allen (100 years old now!) has released his debut album...I'm sure both he and John Gilmore were leading the band when I saw it in Washington DC around 1993 or so (Sun Ra had passed away a few months earlier, as I recall)...
