Getting ready for what is shaping up to going to be one heck of a hockey game

We started a project today, we’re replacing our bathroom vanity and giving it a new coat of paint. Plumbing is involved and it’s not my strong suit but I think I have it figured out. Probably only going to need 4 trips back and forth to my local hardware store. Cheers.

 

I saw Mingus perform at the Berkley School of Music back in '73 or '74. He was just beginning his health decline but he played a masterful set with some of the Berkley staff. A memory etched into my brain!

3 Floyds Floyds Deluxe AAL. Cracker, grain, slight sulfur, some corn, earthy hop, minerality. Clean, crisp, and refreshing. Usually they hop up a style like this, but this one actually is quite traditional. I don't mind it at all.

 

That's why we pay somebody to do them every year. Pretty good gig for them, our wages don't go up but yet they seem to charge more every year and give themselves a raise (while we always seem to pay in).

 

Hectic week at work with one more day to go. Settling in with an appropriately named beer: Stone Arrogant Bastard. Cheers!

CEO Marlon, the kind of leader I recognize. Continuing the cleanout, somehow I keep finding IPAs. This one is very nice too, way too big on a work night perhaps, but, hey. Got buffalo chicken in the cooker and hockey on the monitor. I thought this would be a lot more bitter than it is. Instead, it's very up front with its cantalope/stone fruit flavors. The bitterness kicks in afterward, followed by an unmissable alcohol burn.

When I read these sorts of brewing notes, my mind turns to mush, so I guess I also got some reading to do.
