I have no idea what Milky Green is supposed to be(seriously though, if it has lactose in it I'll be bummed, but it doesnt mention it anywhere. and if it doesn't, what the fuck is milky julius/green etc? why call it milky?!?! its not 'milkier' than the regular!!!!!), but I will say it tastes more like Green than any Green I've had in the past 3-4 years or whenever galaxy went to shit. It's really, really good. Considering it uses a different yeast blend, the characteristic Treehouse bubblegum bullshit still punched me in the face. I was very happily surprised. Glad I bought it.

On the other hand, King Machine, which is why I went in the first place, is just fine. I haven't loved any of the machine beers lately, so your results may vary. I never had juice machine from Monson so I have no idea how it holds up, but it's just too sweet and boozy and rich for me. I like more a lot more dryness in my ipas, which milky green for whatever reason has, even though the word 'milky' would lead me to believe it's not dry. I don't know fucking know anymore. Next week I'm just gonna buy some fucking Schlitz or Highlife. Consistency is underrated.

Milky Green?? Some of these beers sound like STD slang.

2nd time they’ve put it out. And I enjoyed it last time.

Do people not know the “milky” series is already a thing they have done previously and also is out currently?

    Keep up, before judging

I have yet to have Milky Green, however, I can say that Milky Julius was excellent.

I think a lot of people who like tree house don't follow every single release to this level. The way TH describes it - it sounds kind of almost like what Other Half calls HDHC. Hopped more heavily than the related beer because they have learned ways to do so without being inefficient and capture that much.

And at the end of the day, it's a confusing name. Putting the word "milky" in a beer is gonna make some people think lactose. Do it in an IPA, people are going to think "milkshake Julius" or "milkshake Green" before they read further - and some people won't read further.

Agree. It was my assumption when I saw it. Could have been a little smarter with the nomenclature here.

100% what I thought when I first read the name, milkshake / lactose IPA.

The red ale is pretty good. If you like that sort or thing.

I guess they do it this way so the staff has a chance to get acclimated before hundreds of people show up. Only thing I can figure.

If that was the plan, it didn't work. I'm staying in the hotel directly next door, and the parking lot has been completely full every day since Monday.

Yeah, but imagine if they had given advance notice and promoted the opening on social media.

In the next election whoever is running should just say Tree House is their favorite brewery. That should secure the most votes.

A little disappointed in recent cans picked up at Saratoga, surprisingly. I sent a box out of their beer and was given the friendly heads up that the Tree House appeared to have been oxidized. I was wondering if it was a one-off or due to the shipping process, but sure enough I opened a Curiosity Eight today -that was stored properly- and it was very much off-color and the flavor was probably not what was intended.

Not a big deal, I know that stuff happens... just mentioning it to see whether others had experienced the same.

I had an off color can of Curiosity 8 that appeared to be oxidized as well. It was my first treehouse drain pour. The other cans I had were fine, didn’t love the beer but they tasted and looked ok.

I snagged a four pack of C8 the day after they released it and thought it was incredible, but I didn't get around to a couple of the cans for a month and I definitely felt like they had started to fall off when I had the last two. I'm usually in the TH is excellent for 2ish months camp, but that one and Super Sap were noticeably less good quicker than usual.
