Hop Butcher Cosmic Glow (8.0% canned 11/5/2024): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Rakau, Waimea and Mosaic for flavors of orange, tangerine, apricot skins, tropical melon, and mango.

This is still one of the best drinking Hop Butcher NEIPAs. Canned on my birthday. Hop Butcher does amazing tropical flavors with Waimea. This has strong tropical notes, a hint of dankness. Incredibly smooth and flavorful. Bomber IPA from Hop Butcher.

    ...somehow mis-posted in yesterday's WBAYDN?...now resolved :sunglasses:...

    Cycle Brewing -- CTC
Bourbon barrel-aged barleywine age over three+ years
ABV: unk (assumed around 10-13%); pouring temperature: 45.3 ℉; bottling info: appears to be 2024
    Source: Tavour

    4.46/5 rDev +0.5%
    look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.75 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.25

Clear, dark brown pour, appears opaque in the glass; thick head, somewhat fizzy yet lasting, khaki colored. Rich, malty and sweet nose; roasted grains; dark chocolate; molasses; oak. Divine taste; rich milk chocolate; brown sugar and molasses; cinnamon; very well-hidden booziness. Heavy body; velvety and sticky; chewy; low-key alcohol warmth throughout.

This thick and chewy barrel-aged barleywine is sublime. I really wavered between rating the taste a '5' or 4.75' as it is just so well-balanced and complex. Cycle does not provide ABV levels on their barrel aged beers per email correspondence I had with owner Doug Dozark (his explanation being one needs really specialized and expensive equipment to figure this out due to the barrels), but it is safe to say the ABV is well North of 10%. Anyway, the beer is sublime in all respects.

Sorry for no pic. Postimages seems to be acting up for me. Drinking a Super Prime from Goodfire while enjoying my first lobster roll since probably August
    Cheers!

[IMG] Happy Friday evening! Shoutout to @Shanex for kicking it off! Enjoying a DIPA from the brewery on my route: Troubles End Brewing “5th Anniversary “ DIPA! They celebrated their 5th Anniversary last Saturday. They’re really doing well, considering that they opened a week before the Pandemic shutdown in 2020! Oh, and happy Pi Day @BeerVikingSailor !

Conquer and Prevail, a pale ale from Jackalope in Nashville. Decent and hits the spot on an unseasonably warm day.

First time outside for a beer (or two) this year on a gorgeous evening in Northern Indiana, I picked this up on a trip to Chicago this week. Quite simply, this beer fits my beer nerd palate perfectly - dank weed and resiny pine, some citrus and caramalt, this is unapologetically bitter. Absolutely love it.

North Coast Old Rasputin (9.0%): A Russian Imperial Stout from California with flavors of dark cocoa, espresso, dark roast, and grains. Dark, bitter, and dry.

Hop Butcher and Ol' Raspy make for a nice Friday evening.

@Monkeyknife Wow those are some great and fresh Hop Butcher releases. Do you get that reliable of distro in St. Louis?

@ChicagoJ Ahh everyone has their Mac vs PC opinions, but yeah. You can get the same hardware in a PC as in a Mac for half the price. PCs sort of lagged behind for the past decade or two but have caught up now. But you could still get a Mac with the same specs for double the price.
Also, use Google Chrome, not Microsoft Edge. That is part of your issue. I still use and prefer an Iphone over the Android though and no problems with compatibility.
I recently got a new Acer Nitro Gaming Laptop for half the price of a Mac. 32g of Ram, 1Tb SSD and runs like an absolute workhorse. Would recommend to anyone.

to go with my Unit 2 meltdown wings. This beer should be able to hold it's own.
My first one of these, it's a nice IPA, especially in the 19.2 oz format to pair with dinner.
