At least I don’t have to worry about my cholesterol when having a few beers with my bacon and eggs.

Eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we might run out of beer.

This doesn't jive with how beer raises your triglycerides. Ask me, I know.

I had very high triglycerides when I used to consume copious amounts of chilled vodka, mostly for medical reasons. I was seeking the numbing effect.
Now that I consume only beer, to what I consider to be responsible quantities, my levels are fine.
It's probably the amount of alcohol your system processed in a given time that raises the levels.
I could be wrong, just a guess.

I've been around for a good while now, and governments go back and forth on what they think is good and bad for us. Remember how eggs destroyed cholesterol, according to the government? And now, they say eggs are a "super food"? Yes, that kind of stuff is what I'm referring to. They go back and forth. We shouldn't know what to believe. So, humans have been drinking alcohol in one form or another for thousands of years. The recent "warning" about consuming alcohol is the first time I've heard of it. I, personally, ignore all of these government warnings. My advice, which is the advice I get from my doctor, is everything in moderation. Never, ever over-consume anything. Over-consuming water can kill you. Not cause cancer, but kill you where you stand. Folks, just take it easy. Don't stress. Have a beer or two once in awhile, enjoy life, don't eat too much. Moderation. You'll be fine. Remember what Reagan said...beware of those who knock on your door and say "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."

The article linked is not a government study.

Well I agree the results of studies bounce all over and that you should do everything in moderation.
But I’m old, I like beer, so I will keep drinking it.
If I can curtail a bit, I can probably loose some weight.

Yeah, and what’s with these scientists telling me Earth isn’t the center of the universe? First they told me everything revolves around the earth, then that everything revolves around the sun, and now that our sun is just one of countless other stars out there? They clearly can’t make up their mind so everyone just believe in whatever you want.

...I remember in my younger days when supposedly the world revolved around me...then real-life hit (along with the nuns' wooden rulers)...and then beer became my saving awakening :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:...

See, these things go in cycles. A couple of weeks ago the study du jour said 'drinking bad'. Now 'drinking good'. Think of it as a drinking game among scientists.
