Found this seven-year-old beer in the basement and I'm happy to say it's drinking just fine.

A little hoppier than I like for the style, but it's passable while smoking wings.
Jamming to some classic Judas Priest, pissing off the neighbors, probably.

I was at @DavetotheB Pampered Chef party last fall and he told all the gals: you deserve to pamper yourself. Know your value.
Afterwards we went to Pop’s pool party and had the most excellent everyday beers ie TH they always have. Marco…. Haze….Marco…Haze
Yeah, they do things a lil different there


Moral of the story: you’re good enough, you’re smart enough, and gosh darn it, people love you

1) Ayinger Maibock (7.0%): A German Maibock with flavors of smooth earthy Munich malt and sweet honey.
versus
2) Paulaner Oktoberfest Marzen (5.8%): A German Marzen with flavors of earthy Munich malt, bread, and some toasted notes. Clean. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Maibock vs. Marzen Battle.
First is Ayinger Maibock, a Spring Bock. Smooth sweet honey flavors. Dangerously drinkable and not overly sweet.
Next is Paulaner Oktoberfest Marzen. Standard Marzen with nice toasted notes. Not too sweet and drinks clean.
I can appreciate Ayinger Maibock for what it is, but Maibock flavors in general seems sort of one dimensional to me.
Winner: Paulaner Oktoberfest Marzen
