Heineken 0 with some quickly thrown together chili. Taking a short break before getting back to work

 

Taro?! In beer!?? Other than sweet how did it taste?

You get the earthiness of the Taro and strong vanilla which is heightened by the sugar/sourness. It's a liquid candy bomb. They don't use milk sugar/lactose so it's on the thin side and the Taro doesn't fully homogenize with the liquid. It's a good sharing beverage for pre or post dinner.

Well, had a phone screening for a job. Didn't really care if I got it or not, but thought I'd do it just to do it, and cracked a beer. Unfortunately, I had the wrong time in the calendar. Beer #2 had me loose as a goose and feeling fine like a 409...having been thru recruiter screenings before, figured it was a few perfunctory questions and done.

Boy, was I wrong. It wasn't a recruiter,it was the sr. HR. The questions got technical, so I sipped and sipped, and the more I sipped, the more I slipped. What was supposed to be a 15 min interview turned into nearly a half hour...I can only imagine what the person on the other end of the line thought.
