I don't get hung up on labels. I drink lagers year round. Temps here are slowing approaching 70 degrees.

I really wanted to cut down on my beer consumption starting in April.

Labels? Not sure what you mean with that but most of us follow the seasonal releases and every year it seems to get earlier. I get the marketing - I've been in it. It's a lager and lagers are becoming a "thing" now so why not release a summer lager in spring? It's a business decision that may pay off. Nothing to do with style or quality. I get what you're saying. Love the beer.

Just home from work. Put some turkey meat balls in the oven and poured this. 2012-13. 109% still. Black as a black hole, no light escapes. ABV is fully hidden here. I think this is past its prime. Chocolate and umami. I remember this being more chocolate and having a hoppy bitterness. I have not had one of this vintage in 7 years. These were $35 a case on close out and I have 5 more unless more are in a different box.

Listening to Daniel Blumins show on WFMU and chillin.

    Enjoy

@russpowell As long as SN continues to brew fresh batches into summer I have zero issue. Last I checked SN did not brew a year round lager.

Missing an opportunity for a Spring Lager, but everything is about FOMO now even on mass releases.
