    Good palindrome morning BAs! Up early to take a friend to a minor medical procedure shortly. Starting with an always reliable Guinness Extra Stout;

Poured at 50°. Smooth and roasty. Just what the doctor ordered. Long day ahead, so Cheers y’all, and how ‘bout them Gators!

Hope all goes well with the appointment David @DoctorZombies . Rarely pull the same beer back to back, but didn't care for this one, 7 months beyond the 5 year recommended best by date. It's the last one I have, so won't fret about finishing it in the future, but this one was refrigerated vs. cellared and tasting better than my yesterday evening beer. Have 20 more 2017-2019 beers to go.

@DoctorZombies Everybody would need a friend like you. Cheers, and to the beers you’ll have later today as a deserved reward.

    Good morning,
returning from a Festival focused only on American beers from the East Coast, most of which never arrived in Italy because they are not actually exported to these parts.
I had kindly asked for advice above from those who knew them, providing a list of the beers present.
    I did not receive any.
    It does not matter.
    I did it myself.
And I took my notes beer by beer.
Among which there was this one:

The fact that I have always and only heard of this beer, as if it were mythological since it has never been available in my country, put me in the position to taste it in a particularly careful way.
I was also lucky enough to be able to take home two cans.
Which I will drink by pouring it into a glass.
Not directly from the can, as recommended, because I do not consider it sufficiently reliable that pouring it into a glass could lose something of its essence.
I will keep my review to myself, just as you have kept the advice I asked for.
Probably because in one hand there was a mouse and in the other a hot dog.
Anyway, great festival and great products.

Good day BAs! Thanks @DoctorZombies for opening the bar!

Traces of snow again last night - may be gone by now.

    Today's short-lived New Breakfast Beer:

Dark Something from Winding Path Brew Co. Purchased at Franklin Beer (Franklin, PA) 11/03/25. 16 fl oz can, $ 3.25 (Including tax)/ $ 0.25 fl oz. Reviewed 08/04/25 (Review 3497). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Final impression and summation: 3.25 Not even the beautiful ruby glow could save this from the drain, with my apologies to the drain.
    Rating 3.13, rDev -15.2%

p.s. Now the remaining cap looks like mold before the hyphae have matured.

I thought I gave you excellent advice - the beer list was all bangers - try them all  Seriously, you could not miss with that lineup. Seems like you picked correctly.

Last years we have experienced quite some improvement from the big brands to reduce the alcohol level in beers without it letting to affect the taste too much. Leffe and Weihenstephaner for instance did quite well.

So a Cornet reduced 3% to a light Belgian Blonde should be quite good no?

The honest truth is: I'd rather put myself mineral water to a proper Cornet.
    What a shite.
What about beefing up low ABV beers? Probably a better idea than this.
