I haven't.. and I have thought about trying it/opening it... but I'd hate to crack it and not like it at 15 bucks for the bottle...

Anyone had the Commercial Suicide(im assuming its a new bottle as ive not seen it at specs arbor walk in a long ass time til tonight)?

Loved the first bottling i ever had of it, on tap even better, but somethings definitely amiss with this bottle. I was very dissapointed in the taste of it.

I said that but Funk Metal, being a stout as it's base beer, peaked my curiosity. Needless to say, no mas senor!

Now that you mention it, could be that. It just seemed sour at first, but i had a port before finishing the first glass and it seemed to get better.

then again, i also didnt give it the 24 hour chill they reccommend, so maybe it sitting in the fridge longer after i poured it helped as well. I was just so intent on trying it tonight i HAD to open it.

Am I gathering correctly that Oi Oi is sour CS? Is this the same as the kegs of sour CS you were pouring at JK about a year ago?

Saw a guy post on Reddit r/beerporn a bottle of RU-55. It's up for sale? Any idea when it'll make it's way down to Houston?

sometimes bottles come out before they are for sale.

I heard of an Uberkind about 2 months before they went on sale.

Bangers apparently had a case of RU-55 about 3 weeks ago, so it's possible.

Well he claimed he bought it at that farmhouse pizza place next door. So I guess so. I mean I see their label was approved Dec 27th or so.

JK self distributes some, so sometimes certain places get stuff early. Stanley's is one of those places.

    Jeff,

How much RU-55 are we looking at? 200 cases?

We're hoping RU-55 will be picked up Friday by Virtuoso, but we don't have confirmation yet. We're selling Virtuoso 210 cases, which is most of our first batch. In the meantime, we will self-distribute some Friday to on-premise accounts such as Black Star Co-op, Bangers, Hop Fields and Stanley's Farmhouse Pizza.
