Yea I saw this and was very excited to see it locally, I found it for only $17.99 a 15 pack!!!

Unfortunately that is the only format but I may cave due to the beer and price. It is also found in their summer variety pack which may be a good way to test it and may be the route I take. That pack includes: VT IPA, Long Trail Ale, Riverside Lager, and Blackberry Wheat.

    Has anyone tried it yet???

I saw it but I didnt pick it up because I was buying some other things. Maybe next time. Long Trail was like the first craft brewery I ever got into so I feel obligated keep supporting them. Obviously I wouldnt if I didnt like their beer but I do. Sucks about the buyout but at least they are still releasing new and interesting products. I actually havent checked to see whats in their summer variety pack but thats kinda funny if the Summer Ale isnt in it and its not based on what you said. Weird. I already got a 6 pack of the Summer Ale.

Do they still brew double bag altbier? I used to love that beer but probably haven't seen it in 10 years.

Yes, at least in these parts; have you seen Riverside or will you look for it next time you need a lager fix?

A while ago they got rid of a lot of their core beers and went more hop forward like most others did but they kept the Ale and Double Bag around. If you havent seen it its probably because they pulled back their distribution further away from the New England area because I see the Ale and Double Bag around in basically most liquor stores. The main difference is their beers have lost cooler space here and are mostly relegated to the shelves now.

I got 3 of them in the variety pack. I liked it but not enough to want to buy the 15 pack. I dont know if this will be controversial because Allagash is considered to be higher quality than Long Trail but I liked the Long Trail Riverside Lager more than the Allagash Lager. I said in another thread that Allgash does have some misses and doesnt nail everything they do.
