What beer are you drinking now? #4560

1) Phase Three Be Cappy (7.8% canned 2/13/25): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Amarillo, and Alora for flavors of orange zest and yuzu.
versus
2) Phase Three Chrome (7.8% no canning date): A NEIPA from Chicago with Vic Secret, Citra, Motueka & Mosaic for flavors of grapefruit, guava, pineapple, sweet grape. (Mismatched the two blind)

Phase Three NEIPA Battle. First is Be Cappy. All orange flavors with some Alora for some orange zest and yuzu. Mellowing as it approaches 2 months, but still drinking excellent.
Next is Chrome. Vic Secret gives it some grapefruit zest. Motueka gives it some lime, and Mosaic some tropical green melon. Extremely complex hop combo and flavors. Among the best I've had from Phase Three.

In the top 10 on BA for a reason…it’s delicious and one of my few 5s on Untappd. Cheers y’all!

Taste test
I always wondered if these were the same beer, just one brewed and bottled in Connecticut and the other in Vermont. But, there not.
Surprised Sio of Sunshine is actually darker. Double Sunshine is probably more a WCIPA - bitterer, more smell and taste of pine…
Both are really good

 

Nice beer, local and fresh.

 

Toppling Goliath DDH Pseudo Sue (6.8% canned 2/18/25): A NEPA from Iowa with DDH Citra strong flavors of citrus flower.

Toppling Goliath's World-Class PseudoSue but amped up with ABV and hop flavors. This is grown on me and can't quite describe it. I think because a DDH Pale Ale is hard to tease apart from a NEIPA. Either way, this is Top Shelf Toppling Goliath gold.
