    Great, great tune. I first heard it in 1971, guitar version, by Harvey Mandel.
    Only found out last year it was a Donald Byrd original. Fantastic.

    I really like Blood Oranges in an IPA. That's a perfect compliment to many hop varieties. Happy drinking!

    1) Phase Three Be Cappy (7.8% canned 2/13/25): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Amarillo, and Alora for flavors of orange zest and yuzu.
    versus
    2) Toppling Goliath Sosus (8.2% canned 1/22/25): A NEIPA from Iowa with Mosaic for flavors of tropical orange, blueberry, grape, tropical melon with a sweet nectar and berry flower flavor.(Correctly matched the two blind)

    Phase Three vs. Toppling Goliath Battle. First is Phase Three Be Cappy. Some amazing Citra, Amarillo and Alora for orange flower flavors.
    Next is Toppling Goliath Sosus. All Mosaic, with some resinous berries and pine. A bit of bitterness too. Pretty good, and a little more traditional.
    Phase Three Be Cappy is settling into some great flavors here and very enjoyable as usual.
    Winner: Phase Three Be Cappy

    In my opinion, Thirsty Dog’s Blood Hound Orange is a very good blood orange IPA. Not worth trading for in my book, but give it a try if you see it. Cheers.

    Descartes Black Butte Porter. Been years since I’ve had this one. Cocoa powder, little peat, earthy hops, toast, some roast, slight honey. I’m loving it.
