What beer are you drinking now? #4565

Not by design but all brews consumed so far tonight were brewed in Virginia. Other than some of my brain cells no animals or folks were hurt.

Vienna Lager brewed by Devils Backbone. Been to the brewery many times in my younger days. At the base of the mountain to the Wintergreen Ski resort.

 

I'm sipping on Helen the Owl, a whiskey barrel-aged Imperial Stout from Last Flight Brewing Co., in Jefferson City MO, as we watch a documentary about the life of Ulysses Grant. He's not too popular among some of my Dad's family from down south but I think he's a true American hero and not as bad a President as his rep. Cheers!

I think most of the tariff stuff was back-burnered for a few months but it would prob have an effect esp on foreign cars but I think also on domestics because some of the raw materials, components and assemblies are made outside of the US. Don't think it's a concern today, but it bears watching.
Bottom line: Beer good. Shopping for cars bad.

it used to be easy to place a value on a used car. I am having trouble with that now. Maybe it is me.

Hope all is well on your end. If it is ok, when I go to the dealership and get their offer (both trade-in and a new or used car) I can bounce this off you for your opinion.

We just bought a used car a few months ago and the prices have really gone up in the past 5-6 years since covid. Mrs DavetotheB's car was totaled and the $ we got for it was almost the same as we paid for it in 2019. We bought it from a regional equivalent of CarMax. IMHO, it bears comparing new to used prices because that difference may only be a few thousand dollars. YMMV and all those other disclaimers. Cheers!
