Yesterday I had for the first time Einstok Toasted Porter. It is made on Iceland. Very good beer. I will be getting it again

 

Well at least this isn't a complete disappointment. 0.0 Guinness with some simple cheese toast and a nice bean-sausage stew.

Yard waste reduction with DAB

 

Boiled down a whole chicken today. Time to make some cream of chicken and soup tomorrow with the stock. Enjoying a Hamm's. B4 dinner.

 

I was hoping for big things from Ottawa last night but they fell into the bad penalty hole. The happiest time of hockey season for me is when Toronto gets bounced from the playoffs, the uglier the better.
I’m kind of pulling for St Louis, I think the coach got a raw deal here in Boston. The players quit on him hence the house cleaning when they wouldn’t play for the interim coach either.

My last Dr visit in march wasn’t good , my A1C was 6.7 and I was 70 pounds overweight. He put me on a weight loss, I mean diabetes injection and it helped lower my numbers and definitely curbed my appetite. I got food poisoning and because they slow your digestion I had to come off it. I’m starting up again in may. So don’t send me any pizzas.

 

I’m fairly certain your blood type is now Master Shredder Cheers.

Well not to get to into this, but having grown up in a strict Catholic family, and that will always be part of me (not in a bad way, just not in a way that is for me, and I don't really feel like getting into that ha). Though I have always loved stories, the structure of how they are told, the origins of the tropes, the characters, etc, etc. Just one of a thousand examples...for instance there is a reason Tolkien named the creature Gollum after a golem from Yiddish lore...a monster singularly obsessed with one thing.

But other than that...check out maybe the best online source for discussion on books...and I'm not being hyperbolic, our discussions on books here are amazing. My previous post was on the Jewish writer Isaac Bashevis Singer, and I'll get to Chaim Grade's book I'm reading now in the next couple of days.
