No idea what the weather is like outside - was dark the last time I looked. Mrs lizard is off to another quilting coven today - probably won't be back 'til sunday. I've got enough food and beer stocked up to keep the turtles and me going - plus some more books to read. Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Big Bad Baptist Old Fashioned from Epic. Purchased from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA, 26/04/25. 16 fl oz can, $12.00 (Including tax), $ 0.75/fl oz. Reviewed 07/05/25 (Review 3525). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Final impression and summation: 3.5 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated container) Uncredited label artist. Little flavor or aroma, mostly whiskey burn; otherwise, easy drinking. Does this taste like an Old Fashioned? Dunno – haven’t had one in 50 years.

Yes, this would definitely be on my regular rotation if it was available locally.

Lunch at Big Hammock Brewing with a Sidewards Moon Boots IPA. It’s Wiener Wednesday, and we are showcasing our Wiener Wars winning wiener! We have Char Siu wiener 3 ways 1) dumpling grilled with a ponzu dipping sauce 2) Bao with wiener, and topped with pickled bok choy 3) wiener fried rice! To top it all off we have some Krab Rangoon with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. Most important Wiener Wars raised $27K for The Marion County Literary Council!!!

 

Congrats on the fundraising!!

 

Do not know much about this beer. Seems a good one from the Malines Brewers that I have recently criticized (did not like the "Manenblussers")

This is way better.



Will buy this again.
