According to Untappd: “This beer is no longer being produced by the brewery.” https://untappd.com/b/samuel-adams-hallertau-imperial-pilsner/4167 If you ever see it on tap at the Boston taproom, please let us know. Might be worth a trip up to Boston!?! Cheers!
Not really. I used to love them back around 05-07. Their 90 min was awesome in its prime, and I really liked that India Brown they made. I admired their experimental tendencies, though there were more misses than hits.
To the point of the original question… they haven’t been, but I’m finding myself getting back into the things that first got me into craft beer. DFH definitely was, so as I work to de-evolve my palate, I look forward to more and more of their offerings again.
I'm lucky in that there's a distributor near me whose owner was personally into craft back in the 2000s/2010s, and they have a pretty decent selection of old school DFH on the shelves - likely because the prices are pretty high. But my last time there, I picked up Burton, Palo, Midas, and a bomber of Theobroma. Imagine they're all ten years old or more, but they've either held up or improved and I loved them to begin with. Cheers!
Need help to refresh my memory. Back in the 2000’s, Dogfish Head offered a variety case which showcased 4 different brews. I believe they called it the “tackle box”. Also, I believe it contained the 4 brews pictured below. Can anyone else confirm this? Also, does anyone happen to have a picture of the tackle box case?
I tried the Grateful Dead hazy just because I wanted to see what the Kernza grains were all about. It had a super clean finish and was pretty solid all-around. Nothing I'd seek out necessarily, but I'd happily order one again if I wanted a lighter pale ale with a fruity character. I wish it wasn't saddled to the GD, though. Blech. I'm in AL at the moment and I've seen several DFH packs and taps at the few beer-centric spots in the area. In several instances, they were the best options, too.
I my neighbor grab me a 120 Minute Minute yesterday . Will drink it soon, have never had one in bottle form...only on tap
Get ready for a minimum two hour commitment on it. Or 30 seconds if you're chugging it on January 20th.
Great background with the homeless guy and trash everywhere. A true beer nerd only focuses on the beer. You passed the test, and welcome to the club!
….. The girl every guy would want to party with during their college years. Apologies in advance if anyone is married to that girl.
30 minute and daytime are about the only beers I’ve been drinking lately since I’ve been low-carbing. They’ll do.
