You have to have them modified to a grounded 3 prong plug. The old non-grounded plugs were dangerous, especially if your mic was the opposite ground - zap!!

    For example:

On 12 May 1976, Keith Relf (Yardbirds) died in the basement of his home at age 33 from electrocution while playing an ungrounded electric guitar

They also tend to need to have the capacitors replaced. The old electrolytic caps have a limited life span and degrade over time which can lead to poor performance, noise, and poor tone. Once those issues are addressed, they're usually winners. The only thing is that they don't have master volumes and to get those suckers to sing, you have to get loud. I had a Twin Reverb back in the 70's that you couldn't turn up past 3 without hurting your ears. Man, that thing was LOUD, the only other amp I think that comes close is a Roland JC-120, another incredibly loud amp. I used to gig with the JC-120 and I think the loudest I ever had it was at 3.5. Cheers!!!!!

Magnify Brewing released Nine for its 9th Anniversary last year. This weekend Mag celebrates its 10th Anniversary and it released another batch. Crazy hop bill of Eclipse Spectrum Citra, Strata, Galaxy, Idaho 7, Sabro, and Wai-iti. Lots of flavors and fun to drink. I bought cans of this year's "10" but will wait til New Beer Sunday to pop one. Cheers!

Brothership For 4 DIPA (Ales for ALS blend - Simcoe, Krush, Mosaic, HBC 522, HBC 1019). This one won bronze at this year's World Beer Cup in the Juicy or Hazy Imperial IPA category. Well-deserved recognition for this brewery that puts out world class haze imho. Raspberry, yellow grapefruit, diesel, big grapefruit and orange peel, some blueberry, red currant, tangelo, earthiness, some pine resin to name a few. Interesting and tasty hop character in a silky soft and dry package with a solid bitterness. Awesome stuff.

...you, sir, have impeccable jazz tastes...say, have you heard of the Georges Arvanitas Quinte...???...they're French...I just discovered their Soul Jazz album (released in 1960)...excellent stuff...my next beer post will featured one of their tunes (likely 'Bohemia After Dark')...

I haven't, but listening to a bit of that track, there is a distinct Miles and Gerry Mulligan Birth of the Cool vibe to it...I like it a lot so far.
