Good morning BAs! Up at 6am and took a long walk through the old neighborhood. Breakfast and clean up done, time for a coffee break - 3 Floyd’s’ “Trolls, Trolls, Trolls” BBA Imperial Stout with Vanilla Beans added:



Bottled 2024. Poured at 52°. Chocolate, bourbon and vanilla from beginning to end. My last bottle. Delicious, and the 13% don’t hurt neither.

Big thunder storms with lightning rolling in this afternoon through the night with a lovely drop in temps for next week. May go on a beer run in a bit before the bad weather hits.

Samuel Smith - Sovereign Bitter

Without realizing what this place was, I entered one of Samuel Smith's establishments. The location and views are amazing but the place is a shithole. And I'm not just saying this because I'm not a fan of the guy. Dirty, smelly, dusty, and making me uncomfortable.

It's nice to see all these British and cask ales in the morning. Joining @The_Kriek_Freak with a different Timothy Taylor's, Landlord. Hope I'll get to try it on cask some day.

Had that experience once in London. Walked in, all the regulars dropped what they were doing and stared at us. Place smelled like rotten fish, so we bailed. Plenty of other places.

 

Many places need to get a new mop. Sour mop smell is pretty common and it destroys food & drink pleasure.

Some places in the UK can be somewhat surprising. Wait till you find yourself in a family run hotel outside London

Drinking a cream ale at a brewery I can't pronounce in Weedsport NY.

 

Hello the bar,
All these Timothy Taylors photos make me jealous. Here, Im drinking Palm Spéciale… a beer described by one reviewer as “tasting like beer” …and I couldn’t agree more.

 

Wow, Weedsport. Haven’t been there in ages. We used to go to a small speedway there. My buddy’s father had a dairy farm nearby.

 

Abita Bananas Foster pastry stout

 

Out at Mikerphone Brewing. Having a collab with Saint Errant, Pale Pauper APA (Citra, Mosaic, Motueka). Both breweries know their hops. Bright tangerine flesh and peel, grapefruit peel, some lime zest, some diesel, floral, some underripe pineapple, and earthy pine. Bright, crisp, and refreshing. Great stuff.
