Ahhh. Alright then. Last nite was fun. Storm rolled thru, temps crashed from 85F to 55F, and the wind has not let up really. Pretty dynamic but we need rain here in my yard.
And yes! Awesome pics today from jolly Oulde England. The taps, mugs, scoops, vistas. Pics filled with sights, sounds, and smells... And after a few pints we'll all be happy as Larry as they say. :beers:
Fernson Lion's Paw Lager. An absolutely smashing Vienna Lager from South Dakota. Cheers BAs!

Enjoying an excellent Great Lakes Brewery Canuck Pale Ale from Toronto, dry and nuanced, no confusion.

Mikerphone Roughneck Business DIPA (Citra/Zumo) on the left and Hey Ya DIPA (Motueka/Galaxy) on the right. They look the same, but taste much different. Hey Ya is drier and sharper with the hop character with a slight boozy twinge, while Roughneck is more rounded with a more complex hop character. I prefer the Roughneck but both are quite good.

Bock thread cross-post. Lakefront Brewery Maibock. At the source. @ZlaVydra is currently at Decepticon headquarters, but he should be here shortly. We will then go to Milwaukee Metalfest.

Happy Friday BAs! Enjoying my day off. Knocked out some yardwork. Enjoying some cold beers out on my deck. A new to me beer. I've had Foam Brewers beer before in a collab with Good Word. This is Minus The Times Vienna Style Lager. I must say I'm impressed. They went the more traditional style route, which I like. Nice looking pour, good head retention, floral hops aroma, and toasty malt character with a slight caramel note. Spicy hops flavor. Just the right amount of bitterness too. Dry and satisfying. Solid example of a style I love. Cheers!

[IMG] Poured into a 16 oz Snulip glass canned on 4/22/25. TDH NEDIPA with Citra, Rakau, and Nelson 8.3%. Pours a very attractive hazy milky yellow with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves thick streaks of lace with excellent retention. 4.75

Aroma is peach, mango, tangerine, pineapple, white grape, and apricot. 4.5

Taste follows peach, tangerine, mango, pineapple, white grape, and apricot really well balanced. 4.5

Mouthfeel is rather large, soft gentle almost creamy carbonation, not sticky or dry, and it drinks bigger in flavor, but still extremely approachable at 8.3%. 4.75

Overall this one from Spyglass is really impressive stuff. If you see it, pick it up. 4.5 Cheers all.

Mikerphone BA Party Dress (Blend of barrel aged stouts conditioned on coffee, cinnamon, cacao nibs, toasted coconut, raw coconut, and bourbon vanilla beans). Wow, this is impressive. The adjuncts don’t overshadow one another and are quite balanced. Great barrel character too. This one is fire.

yes, it is not a widely available one. Very well brewed, bit Duvel-like, but a bit more hoppy and little less yeasty.

Very curious btw about the Duvel you had. Imperial? Hope to find one soon in the local stores overhere!

Hit up Cinderlands with my gf as we were seeing my old sax professor play later in the evening and it was within walking distance and she likes the food there. We caught the dollar wing special and 2 bucks off drafts for happy hour, so our full size pours were $5. You can barely find $5 beers in dive bars in Pittsburgh, much less things this good.

I got the CannaSquish, pictured here, which is their flagship IPA with extra terpenes. She got the Full Squish, which is a pretty balanced hazy heavy on the mango and grapefruit. I was impressed by hers (she only will go to a brewery if they have a less sweet, lower ABV hazy available, so she loved hers) and I loved mine.

The terpenes were incredibly potent and the whole thing just tasted like fresh whole buds. Very much sweet basil, lemongrass, and dankness alongside a good malt profile and some bitter grapefruit.

Overall a really lovely experience and the food was great as well. I've dog eared it as the go to spot when we want to go out but not spend too much. The only Cinderlands review I have on here is pretty low, but I just don't think their approach of "just modify the flagship recipe" works for a Black IPA.

When in the Netherlands @BelgianFox told me there would be a new beer by Duvel released. Unfortunately I missed it by one day. Have you tried it?
