Hop Butcher Riwakamania (6.5% canned 4/14/25): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra and Riwaka for flavors of orange citrus, grapefruit, bright grape, and pine.

Continuing the Hop Butcher Train. First try at this. Citra plus Riwaka for some insane citrusy notes. Orange citrus, bright grape, pine. Smooth yet clean, Complex and abounding in flavors.
Wow, one of the best IPAs I've had. I didn't expect much, and somehow underestimated Hop Butcher. Maybe next time I will estimate them. My rating is 4.35. This is World-Class.

Ha- yep I don’t cook. So, it’s nice to be with someone who enjoys/actively does it. I still enjoy bdubs and we had it as take out a few months ago. I’m tempted to try the all you can eat deal they have going on. I would bet 15-20- so not sure if it’s worth it.

 

Orange Hat's River Imperial Porter.......Lots of chocolate and vanilla in this flavorful porter.

 

Easily one of the best citra ipas in the country. My place here still has like two cases of the 2/25 canning- cold stored- so I may grab more.

Just got back from a fun day of exploration with my daughter. We went to Waterbury Connecticut to check out a place called The Holy Land - strange Christian theme park that closed in 1984 I believe. Pretty bizarre place. We also visited the Fairfield State Hospital in Newtown CT which was fantastic. So now I"m having a Berkshire Dandy Lion and relaxing.
