    ...well, I know it's Memorial Day weekend (and not Veterans Day) but I also enjoy the fact that the BA El Supremo (aka @Todd) is also a USAF vet...plenty of others of us (of all military background) as well on BA...so kudos to all who enlisted or were commissioned...I do feel its something not to be taken lightly, especially for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their committment...

    I've been a RUSH fan since the late 80s, preferring their earlier output up to Moving Pictures. Man, I missed the boat. Didn't see them live until 2012 (not 2112), then again in 2015. Easily the best live band I've ever seen. A piece of what I missed...

    OK, not messing around now...Saint Arnold Tarnation strong ale, Pikesville 6 year old rye (110 proof) and Tom Waits. Ohm yeah, this is the definitive booze combination with music ha.

    Have a good Saturday. Slept in a bit but finished Paved Paradise by Henry Grabar and it was 4.25/5. Started Ingredients by George Zaidan and it's really good, but not what I expected. More of a look at things like processed food and natural poisons like Cassava and Castor beans. Thought it was more about food science in the cooking aspect, but still interesting.

    Went on the usual Cook Out run last night. Got a Huge burger with bacon, cheese, and everything and it was massive and delicious. Will do again, but the Big Double is better bun/topping/meat ratios.

    Finishing off my last Great Lakes Juicy Vibacious. Loved this one. Need to get a 6 pack of a new IPA for the fridge.

    One From The Heart (I know. most people won't agree with me here but got to be different ha. While Coppola's misstep wasn't a very good movie, but Waits' and Crystal Gayle made a great album that could be enjoyed 100% outside of any knowledge of the movie, anyway I can rant about both the album and movie all day ha)

    But I love all phases of Waits' career, so what do I know ha.

    I have to agree about loving all phases of his career. Nighthawks at the Diner is up there for me, as is Closing Time. I mean, I would happily listen to any of them!
