    ...indeed...!!!...we were more worried about Oscar since Mrs. BeerGoot and I are flying back to Ohio soon for my recently departed sister's burial...arrangements were made to board him, but we'd feel very, very guilty if he wasn't cleared for associating with other dogs (and humans) after going two rounds with a local raccoon palooka...it was worth the $$$ monetary visit to get that professional veterinarian read...we (and he) still will need to deal with the 3 1/2 day separation, but if he can take on raccoons and survive a TX panhandle kill shelter (before we got him), he'll do okay at his doggie spa and resort...

    ...and in all seriousness, anyone with pets, keep them vaccinated for rabies...

    1) Phase Three Magnetic (8.0% canned 3/31/25):     A NEIPA from Chicago with Nelson, Motueka, and Riwaka for flavors of grapefruit, passionfruit, and white grape.
    versus
    2) Hop Butcher Dungeness (8.0% canned 4/9/2025): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Motueka, Simcoe & Nelson Sauvin for flavors of tropical berries, grape, smooth lime, and pine. (Correctly matched the two blind)

    A banger Phase Three vs Hop Butcher NEIPA Battle with Nelson and Motueka. Two of the best Chicagoland breweries.
    First is Phase Three Magnetic. Amazing grape, lime, and tropical notes. The Nelson is settling in now at 2 months for more of a tropical profile. Excellent.
    Next is Hop Butcher Dungeness. A bit more tropical berries, grape, and lime. Sweeter as usual per Hop Butcher. Excellent as well.
    Phase Three is at the top of it's game in Chicago and in my opinion I am picking them over Hop Butcher in this head-to-head and in many others.
    Winner: Phase Three Magnetic

    Non-alcoholic beer with a remnant dreg of Rhinegeist 'Bourbon Barrel Aged Night Whale"
    ABV: probably notched up a bit from the baseline NA beer (but nothing inherently dangerous)

    Well the rain came, all 1/16 of an inch of it. The storms in the area did drop the temp from feels like 104 to 74 so that's nice. Found a canned 5-10-2025 12 pack of Jai Alai today.
