I'll second this, however I'd go with Julius and Juice Machine. JM is like Haze + Green.

Thanks for the input! I appreciate the help. If you had to pick one available variant right now, which would it be?

Variant? I'd say King JJJulius. Very Green is also available and I'd say that's at least on par.

But ultimately it depends on what you like.

Can very much confirm that Juice Machine was the one that put them on the wider map.

I remember working extreme beer fest and getting sample after sample of OG Juice Machine and just being blown away. Word spread like wildfire about that beer after. That was the like big one for them at just the right moment. Obviously green and Julius got all of our attention.

Good Morning became the beloved cousin of yours who you idolized. Until he vanished and moved to the Congo. But now you’re not sure how cool he actually was, since you’ve met so many more people in life to compare him to. Who are just as coffee’ie and maple’ey

FWIW I have found the core beers to be the most consistent at least since I’ve had nearly unlimited access now that Boston is a thing. It’s hard to say any of their beers are better than green or Julius or haze

I've now had multiple beers from the Pru on draft, specifically Julius every time I've went. And I've never been blown away by it at that location. Nothing wrong with it, just more or less a ho-hum New England IPA. Although I've sometimes had some hop burn from their IPAs.

It's been forever since I've been out in Charlton, and I had the beer there once on draft. Never had it on draft at Tewksbury, but I did have Jjjulliuss on tap and that was very good.

Cold Brew has essentially run out again aside from Marigold.

Wish I understood their release operations. Given some things will make it to all sites the day of the posted release and some don’t.

But more frustrating is when you just want to plan to get something, in our case today coffee. But even past 11:00 it hasn’t hit any webstore yet. Not even Charlton so I’m in this weird limbo of do I make the trip to a Tewksbury or not today. First would problems but they definitely don’t update web stores for open.

Don’t buy this, this actually is terrible. It tastes old, chemically and bitter. Please, what in the fuck is in this.

I love tree house but I’ll call out shit when I taste it. I fucking hate that I continue to try their cans when they don’t list the hop bill. There goes $24 that could’ve bough 8 cold brews. F

The whole not listing the hop bill is a huge deal for me too. I am sure that the hop bill doesn't matter to a lot of folks and those folks don't really care. But it helps some folks make informed decisions. I feel like not having the hop bill is treating your customers like they're dumb or not sophisticated enough. It's weird because they make a big deal about the hop farms they get hops from for many of their beers. A weird dichotomy.

I should also add that what Tree House is doing isn't like the Coca Cola recipe. Maybe there is some mythology around their recipes, particularly the house yeast, but I imagine that even if a brewery duplicated that, they would struggle to really make as big a splash as Tree House has. Tree House has so much goodwill, which I think is the main driver of their success.

They do it for some releases. No idea why they don't just do it for all of them.

And yeah I'd prefer to stay away from most of the NZ hops.

Completely agree. This is that typical muddled DIPA we all know from them. Peacharine wants to shine, Nectaron is the dunk guy at the party who gets sick and all of the other Americans who hopped over to the celebration did so all at the wrong time.

I’ve had other beers from them like this(maybe 1-3 of the Hello’s) and it’s the same chemical, diesel, booze thing. That they are so good at avoiding at other times. I had hopes for this one given the American hops they like to use

It is not. Em Sauter is fairly well known in the industry as a beer judge (I think Advanced Cicerone?) and she also previously worked at Fox Farm. She is a cartoonist (and author of the book "Beer is For Everyone") known as "Pints and Panels". Her Instagram is below. She has been a freelance writer for Forbes about beer for awhile now.

Weird...I got some cans of that in Charlton a few weeks back and thought it was pretty good. Definitely not old, chemically and bitter ‍♂️

Two cans were just kind ugg. One was half decent. Not sure when we’ll get to the third.

Opening the recent juice project supreme was just such a stark difference and such and amazing beer. That true house yeast flavor with a perfect hop combo.

I was planning on going to Charlton next weekend but I see that they have a ticketed fireworks display. Does anyone know how that works, will they close early then open up for ticketed customers. If any one knows the process that would that would really help me with my plans. Thanks
