    Josephsbrau Grapefruit Radler from Trader Joe's

    This is another one of these low-alcohol high-fruit concoctions that are appearing more lately. In this case the base is supposedly a hefeweizen, though it could be apple juice for all the difference. But the stuff does taste highly citrusy, and even like grapefruit without the bitterness. There is just a tang of bitter peel but mostly it's quite sweet, especially for the low ABV. It's nicely carbonated and makes a pleasant juice drink, though I wouldn't say it tastes anything like a beer. But it's summer, enjoy!

    ...have some Mississippi friends in town (one staying with us)...new laptop has no power (supposedly Dell is sending at home maintenance at some point...wrestled with bank and credit reporting issues earlier this AM...probably should have more beers earlier :grin:...

    Took an unplanned little break from beer. Back at it. Found a hole in the wall party store that still had some 2024 BCBS, BCBS Vanilla Rye, and 2023 CBS hanging around. Scooped up the BCBS for now. He had a case left of 2023 CBS planning on going in there soon to negotiate a buy it all price since they apparently dont move a ton of the craft selection.

    Kids are camping with gramma and grandpa so had a dinner with the wife tonight. Pulled our camper out of storage and prepping it to join g'ma/g'pa and the kids on Friday. Had a couple Two Hearted's at dinner.

    Now moved on to a Tropical Little Thing from SN. Not as juicy as I would expect with a beer with tropical in the name but it's a mighty fine beer. 2nd best beer from the mixed pack.

    Rather late to party with Half Acre's Reef Knot - a "summer beer" (meaning a very light-bodied Helles). A simple thirst quencher. Not all that interesting but you can do much worse at the end of a hot day.
