    Santé! I might be mistaken but unless you are like MadMadMike hanging out in the right French places, or occasionally me drinking some French gems, odds are you guys abroad will be stuck with 1664… cheers!

    1) Jever Pilsener (4.9%): An German Pils with flavors of lemon citrus, pale Munich malt. Floral, crisp.
    versus
    2) Rothaus Tannenzapfle (5.1%): An authentic German Pilsner with flavors of leafy Noble hops, earthy Munich malts. Smooth, bready finish. (Correctly matched the two blind)

    German Pils Battle. First is Jever. One of my favorite of last year. Crisp, lemony, floral, and clean. Oustanding.
    Next is Rothaus. A bit more earthy, malty with Munich malt flavors. Smooth.
    Two somewhat different pilsners here. Both are excellent in the style. I slightly prefer the crisp and bitterness of Jever.
    Winner: Jever

    I'm sipping on this German style Pilsner from Schilling Beer Company, through Good Times Oakland. Canned April 9th.
    In my book, this is excellent!
